Work Hours / Shift : M-F, Day shift, 3 : 00pm 11 : 30pm,

You Will Be Responsible For :

Coordinates and performs electrical equipment maintenance, installations and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations

Assist in operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, and alarm systems. Oversees essential repairs and other duties as carried out

Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under limited guidance

Monitors work performed by outside contractors to insure requirements are met and results are documented properly

Responds to in-house Work Orders and PM's on daily basis, and in a timely manner

May be required to respond to emergency calls

May be required to take call in accordance with facility in a timely manner

Provides on the job skills training

Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services

Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs. Maintains record ensuring compliance with TJC, Federal, State and Local regulations and standards.

Responsible for keeping current on maintenance logs

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED :

Ability to perform electrical equipment maintenance, installations and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations

Ability to assist in contributing to system training manuals and upgrades as changes occur

Able to communicate in English

Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately

Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies

Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner

Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form

Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes

Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment

Basic Microsoft office computer skills

High School Education or GED

Two years of maintenance experience

Journeyman License

Valid Driver's License

To wire equipment to NEC codes, and assemble pneumatics with quality workmanship, for machines built to WestRock’s high standards on the premises.

  • Work safely, follow all safety practices
  • Layout panels and mount components (from panel layout).
  • Mount boxes, conduit, and transformers by using drills and taps.
  • Size and mark wire (following schematic drawings).
  • Assemble small sub-assemblies for electrical or mechanical.
  • Mount air components and run pneumatic lines.
  • I / O machines.
  • Layout electrical and air components on a variety of machines.
  • Blend rigid conduit to fit in a variety of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and / or pneumatic problems on equipment.

What you need to succeed :

  • Must have understanding knowledge of NEC codes, knowledge of AC / DC electricity, able to wire from schematics, troubleshoot hardwire, construct machinery panels.
  • Must be able to run flexible and ridged conduit throughout machine, pull, mark, and terminate wire neatly, mount panels, cabinets, transformers, air valves, and run air lines.
  • The individual must pass an entrance test for this position.
  • The individual must pass the TPC test for this position or equivalent.
