Job Summary : The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems.
Performs all work with the highest quality and efficiency and ensures that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Duties / Responsibilities : Installs and repairs electrical equipment and fixtures.

Follows company's handbook, and all company or customer safety and environmental policies. Keeps worksite clean and safely dispose of the material.

Responds to customer inquiries. Ensures projects and schedules are met. Ensures customer satisfaction with all measures installed.
Additional duties as assigned. Required Skills / Abilities : Must have a journeyman electrician license in California. Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools.
Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work well both independently and as a member of a high-performance team. Punctuality and ability to meet daily schedules.
Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Education and Experience : High school diploma or equivalent required. Three years of related experience or comparable training preferred.
Proficient in English speaking and writing; bilingual is desired. Working Conditions : Participate in evening or weekend support when needed Employee will be required to climb 6-ft to 10-ft ladders to access work.
Employee may be required to drive 6 hours one way to job site. Employee will be required to work with power tools and operate equipment.
Employee may come in contact with hazardous material and / or substances while working. Employee may need to lift up to 50lbs and requires full range of motion.
Employee will be required to crawl and access confined spaces. Employment Requirements : Professional conduct and safety in customer’s home.
Required to meet weekly production and van minimums. Must be able to pass background and drug screen. Employee is required to have a good driving record and a valid driver’s license.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The Electrician will apply electrical theory, NEC and related knowledge to install and modify developmental or operational electrical infrastructure for machinery and electrical control equipment in all of the industrial plants at Bolthouse Farms.
Responsible for electrical installations, i.e., conduit, wire pulls, conduit, control panels etc.
- Installation of various types and sizes of conduits (Robroy, Ridgid,EMT etc.)
- Apply proper Lock-out / Tag-out and other safe work practices
- Deliver the best possible craftsmanship to ensure proper function of equipment.
- Identify faulty components and ability to replace such components in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform connections in the best craftsmanship possible, using proper techniques
- Performing preventative maintenance of electrical systems including servicing motors, control panels, and changing relays, etc.
- Follow NEC guidelines for every installation
- Weekends and Night shiftwork will be required as needed
- Assist with the commissioning of new equipment installations
- Safety mindset is always expected
- Installations of motors, lights, small dry type transformers, control panels etc.
- Preform other duties as assigned
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven, reliable work history
- 3+ years of experience in electrical construction
- Valid California driver license and clean driving record
Additional Required Qualifications :
- Ability to stay current on latest changes of the laws and regulation involving the NEC, OSHA, NFPA
- Ability to promptly respond and prioritize production request
- Pro-active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and good judgment under minimal supervision
- Must be able to work as a team and follow instruction
- Ability to use hand tools and trade type tools
- Ability to work overtime and weekends
Preferred Qualifications :
- 5 years’ recent industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing or processing facility

- Environmental exposure cold / wet conditions (40 or below / subzero temperatures), will work in the warehouse building and, in all plants (indoor and outdoor)
