Branch Operations Manager

Location : M8 Corridor, Central Scotland

Job description :

Having successfully built a loyal customer base in Scotland we are now ready to take the next step. This opportunity will suit a self-reliant Operations or Branch Manager who is able to oversee the creation, fit-out and start-up of Scotland’s first United Rentals location, followed by the recruitment and management of the new branch team.

Future success will be measured by the growth of the business, customer loyalty and adherence to United Rentals’ high equipment quality and service delivery standards.

Your focus :

Service-oriented, know how to respond swiftly and efficiently to our customers’ needs

Responsible for the motivation, coaching and development of the Scottish team

Maximise the efficiency of our service organisation

Ensure the timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair of the rental fleet

Take responsibility for the delivery, installation and removal of our equipment on clients’ sites

Ensure compliance with internal and external QHSE policies

Actively contribute to and implement European-wide initiatives

Your profile :

At least 5 years of operational work experience, including 3 years in the management of a technical department

An understanding of quality management system, planning and logistics

Ability to drive continuous improvement in maintenance, safety, quality and customer service

Experience in change management, Lean Six Sigma and ISO accreditation

Oral and written proficiency in English

Computer literate including MS Office

Willingness to travel occasionally to our European Support office in the Netherlands

Requirements

Responsibilities / Qualifications :

• Must be Safety focused.
• Must have a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License in good standing with Airbrake and Hazmat endorsement.
• Clean driving record.
• OSHA approved Powered Industrial Equipment certification. (We will provide training)
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs+ repeatedly throughout the day.
• Able to successfully pass a DOT drug test and background check.
• Able to access rooftops for specific deliveries.
• Comfortable working outdoors and occasionally at heights.
• Knuckle Boom and Moffett experience is a HUGE plus!

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

• Must have a Valid Driver's License
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a team player
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
• Basic computer skills and math skills
• Must be able to distinguish the difference between colors
• High school diploma or comparable certification (GED)
• Bilingual a plus (Spanish / English)
• Prior experience in delivery, retail sales, cashiering, or customer service position a plus but not required Candidates must be able to pass a background check and MVR check as applicable for the role.

This job requires standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching overhead, gripping, squatting, lifting, and carrying the product to and from the delivery and customer vehicles as well as to areas within the store and possible job delivery sites.

POSITION SUMMARY

Bengal's Heavy Haul CDL Driver operates multi axle & combination trailers and heavy spec trucks, loads, unloads, ties down all required freight as needed, read permits, and understands over dimensional laws and routes.
