Detailer/Driver
OVERVIEW : The Detailer responsibilities include cleaning the interior and exterior of boats and trailers. Maintain clean and presentable boats and ready boats for delivery to the new owner.
The Driver responsibilities include transporting boats, trailers and related equipment to and from MarineMax dealerships and other designated locations.
KEY TASKS :
- Perform final finish / detail on deliveries, in-stock and service boats, including cleaning windows, upholstery, canvas, isinglass, bilges, fiberglass and wood.
- Use of high speed buffers and polishers to properly detail the exterior surfaces
- Removing dust, grease and oil from exterior surfaces of boats and trailers.
- Knowledge of proper products for safe detailing of vessels properly including but not limited to cleaners for various surfaces, degreasers, and waxes.
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the dealership to ensure a professional work environment conducive to selling
- Assist with the setup of boat shows and other off-site promotional events.
- Must be a team player
- Promote a positive work attitude exceed customer expectations
- Drives truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads
- Ensures proper documentation received for boats, trailers, or related equipment delivered or picked up
- Maintains a clean driving record
- Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive instructions or other communication
- Loads and unloads trucks
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil or water
- May perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains and spark plugs
- May position blocks and tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit
- Assists in showroom display including the moving and positioning of boats
- Assist with boat show preparations
- We will train to retrieve and launch boats from / into the water
- May perform canvas and equipment tear-down for transport
- Ensures safety of team members and items being transported
- Other Duties as assigned

and after-school pick-up.

You’ll travel locally to deliver building materials to our customers, while adhering to and understanding safety policies and regulations.
We are currently looking for a special truck conveyor truck driver to add to our growing team.
A clean driving record and top-notch customer service skills are a must! Experienced, safety conscious, and customer-focused drivers encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities
- Read bills of lading to determine assignment details.
- Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure, and notify warehouse if rebuilding the load is required for safety.
- Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
- Secure cargo for transport, blocks, chain, binders, or tarps.
- Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting oversized loads.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
- Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
- Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Couple or uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating fifth-wheel locks.
- Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.
- Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs.
- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years Class A experience.
- No major moving violations in the last 2 years.
- 1 year flatbed experience, most recent pulling 53’ flats and driving 3 axle conventional sleeper trucks, oversized load experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable with securing all types of flatbed freight with chains, binders, and straps.
