Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with dispatch in safely transporting material to and from trans loading facilities
  • Fuels and cleans truck, performs pre and post-trip inspections, completes paperwork, and reviews communication board.
  • Ensuring that the truck meets or exceeds safe operational standards.
  • Report maintenance issues to the maintenance crew
  • Drivers are responsible for the condition of the truck, trailers and / or other equipment assigned to them. They are responsible for returning the equipment in the same condition it was when assigned to them and for reporting equipment damage or deficiencies immediately.
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License for interstate commerce
  • Minimum 1 year DOT qualifying driving experience
  • Ability to pass MVR check
  • Computer literacy, experience with handheld scanners and onboard truck computing systems preferred

SUMMARY

The Truck Driver position requires an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Comply with company Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules

Our driver works Tuesday thru Saturday working 40 a week; compensation will vary depending on experience level. This is a high visibility position requiring an individual with customer service skills as well as the ability to move and drive various powersports.

  • Experience riding and handling motorcycles of all sizes.

What you'll do :

  • Be detail and safety oriented, must be able to inspect a truck and 20ft trailer on a weekly basis to ensure that tires, lighting and fluids are maintained.
  • Must be able to back and maneuver a 20ft trailer safely and accurately in heavy traffic.
  • Occasionally requires the ability to lift 50 pounds of material.
  • Requires the ability to safely balance and push a 600 to 800 lb. motorcycle.
