The PACE model is centered on the belief that it is better for the well-being of seniors with chronic care needs and their families to be served in their community whenever possible.
Seniors, their family members, and caregivers face many issues, including transportation to appointments, management of medications, coordination of medical care from different specialists, lack of social interaction, and ability to stay alone at home.
On Lok PACE participants receive in home care services and transportation to a On Lok PACE center for primary medical care, social and recreational activities, and other senior care services.

POSITION SUMMARY : Under the direction and supervision of the Transportation Coordinator, the Driver will provide transportation services to all participants and make any deliveries and pickups as needed or assigned.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Safe operation of vehicles (includes proper use of wheelchair tie down, use of lift, etc.) while transporting participants from their homes to the Day Health Centers and community appointments.
2. Ensure participant and vehicle safety (van maintenance, pre-trip inspections, use of seatbelts, body mechanics, transfer training, and wheelchair safety).
3. Provides timely and safe transport of participants, meals and supplies as scheduled or requested (between home and center, and community appointments)
4. Supports participant's care plan as developed by IDT (assist participant in transport; make observations and report to team)
5. Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills, abilities) :
1. Licensed California Driver with good driving record.
2. Ability to operate all vehicles of On Lok has some mechanical ability and understand the maintenance program for vehicles.
3. One-year experience working with the frail or elderly population preferred.
4. Flexibility and creativity; gets along well with frail elderly people, and exercises mature judgment.
5. Understands and carries out oral and written directions.
6. Familiarity with traffic routes and driving regulations in San Francisco.
7. Bilingual English / Spanish or Cantonese / English preferred.
8. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Overview
Drivers will be responsible for driving company vehicle to pick up and deliver outgoing mail and packages from client site and / or other locations within established time frames, per directions given.
Responsibilities
- Obtain proof of delivery for each package (signature, printed name, date and time)
- Notify Supervisor / Dispatcher about any problems or delays in delivering or picking up a package
- Notify Supervisor / Dispatcher upon completion of assigned runs
- Properly account for petty cash expenditures
- Perform other duties as requested by Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, or Supervisor / Dispatcher
- Organize own transportation to deliver packages as needed
- Meet customer requirements and resolve any customer issues as needed
- May be required to fill in as Dispatcher if need arises
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or comparable work experience
- Valid U.S. Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Previous driving experience
- Ability to meet deadlines and understand the time issues involved with package deliveries
- Ability to prioritize and work with co-workers, supervisors and customers
- Ability to resolve customer issues and take responsibility for work performed

Delivery Driver
In this role you will work to provide a genuine experience to customers with professionalism, poise, and patience. A passion for cannabis coupled with a strong adherence to protocol and compliance are a must for this role.
The Driver will work to deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner. This person will be responsible for reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
Responsibilities include :
- Load the delivery van at the beginning of the day for deliveries that will happen throughout the day
- Interpret and execute state laws and regulations required when delivering medical cannabis
- Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to complete routine maintenance tasks (changing tires, check and add fluids, etc)
- Manage documents associated with medical cannabis delivery, ensuring that proper documents are kept and manifests are returned completed and ready for filing
- Maintaining positive professional relationships with dispensary staff
- Timely and effective communication when issues arise while making deliveries
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Must be 21 years or older and pass any and all required pre-employment screenings
- Must have a clean motor vehicle driving record (minor violations may be considered)
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Ability to communicate professionally in person to effectively explain all variations of cannabis products to guests, if necessary
- Basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions
- Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 lbs (100 lbs with assistance) AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with product.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
Desired Skills
- Professional knowledge and working experience of cannabis products from a regulated retail or medical distribution center
- Computer skills working within a POS system as well as cash register and payment processing
