Driver
At WelbeHealth our Drivers do more than just get our participants to where they need to go. Our Drivers play a critical role in operations, as they are the wheels that maintain our day-to-day activity.
Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor, the WelbeHealth Driver focuses on transporting participants to and from destinations in a safe manner.
This includes conducting a pre-inspection check on vehicles, and ensuring vehicles are stocked with emergency supplies.
Essential Job Duties :
- Adhere to the assigned schedule of transporting PACE participants, ensuring high customer satisfaction
- Conduct a comprehensive pre-inspection on assigned vehicles, including lift vans, ADA accessible minibuses, and ambulatory vehicles prior to the start of each shift
- Assist clients getting in and out of vehicles, as well as transferring participants in and out of wheelchairs
- Remain alert to pertinent input from other team members, participants, and caregivers and promptly update the Transportation Coordinator or other members of the IDT of any changes in participants’ condition or psychosocial status
- Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
Job Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalency, one (1) year of experience may be substituted in lieu of education
- Current valid State Driver’s License & copy of recent vehicle insurance required
- Must have Driver’s License for at least five (5) years with no more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at-fault accident in the last three (3) years
- Experience in non-emergency transportation or public transportation preferred
- Must be comfortable using technology

Salary / Wage base range for this role is $18.38 - $22.05 + Bonus + Equity. WelbeHealth offers competitive total rewards package that includes, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other qualifications.

Commercial Driver
Description
- Operates vehicle in accordance with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) / Department of Transportation (DOT) requires as well as all local, state and federal requirements.
- Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle utilizing standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
Responsible for reporting any vehicle deficiencies prior to and after each route day.
- Ensures vehicle is operating correctly while on the route and notifies Route Supervisor / Dispatch / Maintenance of any concerns.
- Understands and practices all policies and procedures as described per Athens Services Safety Rules. Makes use of standard tools and resources provided by the Company.
- Clean area around any accidental waste spill, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies.
- Identify unsatisfactory waste barrels and tag containers due to contamination of waste streams.
- Follow all applicable rules and protocols when disposing at the Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle. Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body (where appropriate) on each disposal trip.
- Ensure all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn while operating specific machinery.
- Participates and cooperates in all scheduled training, briefings, and Safety meetings as required by the Company.
- Works closely with Route Supervisors to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts.
- Performs all duties as scheduled by Route Supervisor or Dispatch, assisting operations as directed.
- Immediately notifies Route Supervisor of any incidents / accidents / injures / property damages.
- Communicates customer requests / issues to Dispatch / Route Supervisor.
- Completely dumps all containers and leaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris. Properly positions containers on the customer’s property.
- Follows route assignments throughout the day and completes all documentation when checking-in at the end of the route.
- Provides a positive and professional attitude when dealing with customers.
- Working in Windy / Hot / Cold / Wet environments, working around heavy equipment, working among refuse and exposed to dusty conditions.
- Frequent exposure to traffic, being aware of all your surroundings, maintain a high level of communication with others.
- Continuously grasping, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, twisting, stooping, walking on uneven surfaces and lifting < 50 lb.

Position Summary
To make local pickups and deliveries as instructed. To assist with maintaining facility and warehouse inventories in a neat and orderly fashion.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Communicate with Traffic Coordinator for daily pickups and deliveries.
- Handle raw materials and finished stock to preserve and prevent damage and deterioration.
- Inspect tractors and trailers daily for defects or problems.
- Complete the driver’s vehicle inspection report.
- Keep the trailer swept out and orderly.
- Verify that the truck is loaded properly and that the load is secured safely for transport.
- Maintain truck logbook and fill out all records as required.
- Safety is a personal responsibility; verify that the area and equipment are safe before proceeding with duties.
- Check all safety equipment; follow all facility safety rules and procedures; wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
- Lock-out / Tag-out procedures must be adhered to when equipment is down for repair or cleaning.
- Ability to clean tools and maintain identified tool boards while keeping workstation and surrounding area clean and organized.
