General Description and Classification Standards
Receives and processes emergency calls from the public in the 911 Center. Determines the nature and location of the emergency and passes information to the appropriate dispatcher for action (fire, police, other public safety).
Provides information and instructions to the caller depending on the emergency circumstances. May remain in communication with caller if needed for liaison.
Keeps notes, recordings, records, etc. as required.
Supervision Received : Works under direct supervision; follows standardized procedures and instructions.

Answers multiple telephone lines and calls for 911 services within the Atlanta Police Department jurisdiction and processes information for dispatching as required or transfers calls to appropriate agencies.
Communicates effectively and coherently with all callers to address public safety needs and provide responses as required.
- Determines correct location and which units to dispatch on calls; confirms field units are responding as requested and in a timely manner.
- Notifies agencies required to handle incident ambulance, fire, public utilities, etc.
- Maintains contact with distressed callers until officers' arrival to assist; calms caller and takes control of conversation.
- Works assigned shifts. Contacts various utility companies to resolve problems such as gas detection, power failures, etc.

Notifies supervisor of critical situations and of problems with communications equipment. Maintains current field and code manuals, policy and procedures, employee handbooks, various maps, etc.

Uses an operator's control console, automatic number and location identifier boxes and telephones when receiving emergency and non-emergency calls;

- May operate telecommunications device for the deaf and various radio devices for communications.
- Utilizes a computer, printer, etc., to enter, store and retrieve data, to type in / dispatch calls and to disseminate information to others on the system using knowledge of various software programs in an effective and efficient manner.
- May complete police incident reports and other reports and documents as needed.
- May complete maintenance requests for equipment needing service and / or repair.

Follows standardized procedures and written instructions; however, must make immediate decisions within protocol about the nature and severity of the emergency and effectively communicate that information to dispatchers.

No formal leadership; may provide coaching to newer employees.

Our Window Dispatchers are responsible for :
Assures all routes are filled as assigned and bus operators are provided with timely
instructions for operational information throughout the day.
Manages road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin

Answers and direct business calls to appropriate personnel, communicate professionally with
accuracy to all staff (drivers, road supervisors etc.)
- Ensures all cash, vouchers and lost and found are properly and accurately counted and secured
- Fill out and send accurate end of shift reports
- Make sure manifests, stand by sheets and call out sheets are accurately filled out and match
the rollout in the shared drive daily.
To qualify as a Window Dispatcher, you’ll need :
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Customer service and / or Call Center experience required.
- Knowledge of basic and multi-task computer operation in a Windows environment.
- Ability to proficiently operate a computer with a speed of no less than keystrokes per
minute.
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to utilize a standard business telephone system for communication.
- Ability to interact with interdepartmental personnel.

The Cox Enterprises Corporate Aircraft Scheduler / Dispatcher will organize, plan, and oversee all company aircraft scheduling.
They will ensure compliance with FAR’s and ICAO flight standards and regulations for each flight. Communicate with executives, flight crews, FBO’s and third-party providers on the most recent schedule and logistical needs.

Responsibilities :
This position will report to the Director of Flight Coordination. It will work closely with corporate Dispatchers and flight crews, ensuring executive travel requests are safely and expediently.
Some of them include, but are not limited to, the following :
Organize and oversee all scheduling and planning of company aircraft, reconcile all flight department expenditures, and monitor the progress of all company aircraft through established flight-following procedures.
Ensure crews, maintenance department, and executives are aware of the latest company aircraft schedule.
Obtain current fuel pricing; log flight records and crew training into TP.Biz software.
Meet and greet arriving passengers and assist with their needs. Schedule and confirm hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and catering services.
Crew scheduling, maintaining crew currency, and valid medical certificates. Ensure that all flights adhere to the approved company SMS program and FAR’s.
Assist with compiling the department’s annual budget and perform other duties as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED and 5 years experience in aviation. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree / certification beyond an HS diploma / GED in a related discipline and 3 years experience in aviation or 7 years experience in aviation.
Ability to work flex shift hours with some weekend on-call coverage possible.
Ability to work a variable schedule to support a 24 / 7 operation
Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with executive-level management.
Strong Computer and organizational skills with excellent decision-making abilities are required.
A comprehensive understanding of weather theory, systems, and abbreviated aviation weather reports with previous flight planning is required.
Successful completion of FAA Dispatchers license within one year of employment
