JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary duty is to ensure cleanliness of dishes, service wares & the dish pit. The dishwasher will accomplish this by setting up and breaking down the pit, keeping it orderly throughout the day, and ensure a high standard of dish cleanliness while maintaining the integrity of unusual staging and catering display wares.
This position will put away all dishes and display wares correctly and when required cater wrap dishes for long term storage.
Candidates must feel comfortable with heavy lifting and working outdoors when necessary.
We are a seasonal business that operates high volume business from June through October. Weekends and undays are required.
Responsibilities :
- Work with a sense of urgency to compete the daily tasks
- Arrive at work ready to work by time of shift start
- Washes all wares including pots, plans, dishware, and glasses. Polish silverware when required
- Correctly stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils. Cater wrap dishes and glass racks when required
- Ensures work areas remain safe and clean according to regulation regarding health, safety, and sanitation
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience :
- Strong organizational skill
- Time management and communication skills
- Ability to lift 80 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
- Food handler’s card and proper shoes
- Reliable transportation
- ServSafe certification strongly encouraged

Scope of Responsibilities
Scope of Responsibilities :
- Provide exceptional Guest service
- Maintain dishroom to Company Standards of cleanliness, arrangement, and display
- Maintain detailed knowledge of all products, pricing, and Company History
- Utilize knowledge of products and pricing to satisfy guest inquiries and create up-sell opportunities
- Follow Food Safety guidelines and maintain all table tops, serve ware, dish equipment, laundry equipment, floors and trash receptacles in a clean and sanitary condition
- Maintain the stockroom in a clean and orderly fashion
- Maintain Guest and Employee Washing Facilities in good working order and in a clean, sanitary condition
- Properly Set Up, Maintain, and Break Down dishroom
- Clean glassware, spoons, pots, and other service items in a timely fashion
- Keep knowledge level current of all fountain products and their required preparation
- Perform Semi-Table Service" function as part of overall Guest Satisfaction
- Empty trash cans and make trash runs, maintain the trash storage area
- Launder dirty uniforms, towels, and other items as needed to ensure plentiful, clean supply

POSITION PURPOSE
The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and maintaining dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Washes and scrubs all pots and pan as necessary.
- Maintains appropriate health and safety standards according to County codes and guidelines.
- Visits Kitchen, Bars and Concessions at the end of each shift; empties any trash receptacles, properly dispose of garbage, and replace with appropriate liner.
- Sweep and mop floors when necessary.
- Drains and cleans the three compartment sinks, as necessary.
- Weekly and daily cleaning dry storage, walk in shelving, and steam tables.
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have the ability to communicate verbally to co-workers in Spanish with some understanding of English.
- Must be able to read and comprehend guest orders with no assistance.
- Must be able to stand for full shift, walk up and down stairs.
- Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that often ranges in extreme temperature (hot and cold), can be smoky with loud noises from equipment and other personnel.
- Must be well-organized and have ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Dishwasher
Dishwashers are responsible for washing and sanitizing all food service utensils and miscellaneous items such as plates, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, etc.
Also responsible for assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the back of house area. May have additional cleaning and restocking duties specific to the restaurant.
Essential Functions
Operate and utilize the dish machine and cleaning supplies
Wash, sanitize and dry all kitchen utensils, equipment and other items placed in the dish area or as requested by Management and Staff
Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends

Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
