Job Summary

The Dishwasher works as part of the Joe’s team to maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, plates and utensils in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition.

The dishwasher may sometimes assist in food preparation procedures.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assist team members in creating the Perfect Joe’s Experience for every Guest, every time.
  • Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in dish washing machine.
  • Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and / or machine.
  • Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area.
  • Washes work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors.
  • Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles.
  • Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine.
  • Assist team members when needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
  • Ability to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on both high and low shelves.
  • Works indoors (90%*), outdoors (10%*).
  • Works frequently in a hot and damp environment.
  • Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent danger to self and others.
  • Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.

Position Summary

Come help create BoujieMana, a brand-new restaurant located in central San Diego! Sitting amongst apartments and office buildings, we will serve both the public, and provide support to TCWGlobal by preparing meals (basic catering style) 3 times a week for 125+ employees.

BoujieMana has it all a full bar, VIP room, indoor and outdoor seating, and a training / event center with a capacity of 120 people.

There is abundant nighttime and weekend parking, and while space is limited during office hours, there is still plenty of street parking.

The price point will be on the higher end with the restaurant’s commitment to utilizing quality ingredients and maintaining a curated menu for all three meals of the day.

We are looking for a dedicated, organized Dishwasher to join our team at BoujieMana. The dishwasher’s duties include washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment and preparation or production areas.

They will restock items, sweep and scrub floors, empty and clean trash receptacles, and other duties as needed. The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

This individual should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. They should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Primary :

  • Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of BoujieMana
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment using dishwashers or by hand
  • Keep dishwasher clean and maintained, and immediately report any functional or mechanical problems to the Kitchen Manager
  • Monitor dishwasher water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in a clean and orderly condition
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required
  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
  • Clean garbage cans with water or steam
  • Sweep and scrub floors
  • Receive and store supplies
  • Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
  • Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement
  • Coordinate with, and assist, fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant
  • Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
