Essential Accountabilities

  • Assists or leads in ad hoc and periodic data collection, reporting, summary and analysis of performance improvement, tracking, ROI and other data initiatives of the Quality and Patient Safety Department in conjunction with other departments.
  • Researches the substance of data projects and requests and the process by which data used by the team are generated. Designs and executes surveys, observations and other tools to collect data.
  • May facilitate analytical and research related activities within the department, including but not limited to studies to assess the impact of processes on outcomes, patient safety, quality, patient experience and health disparities.
  • Presents study content, results and recommendations to varied audiences, including clinical staff and executives.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred. Experience in Healthcare preferred.

Experience :

Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience with PC-based applications such as Windows, MS Office, and Relational Databases (i.

e. MS Access, SQL, Oracle).

  • Excellent skills utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, and data file management software.
  • Working knowledge of ad-hoc report writers with an understanding or willingness to learn computer network architecture, databases, and interfaces.
  • Expertise with Crystal Reports or other reporting application highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with processes for Case Management, Infection Control, Performance Improvement, Risk Management, Utilization Management, Peer Review, and Patient Satisfaction desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract data, create reports, monitor KPIs, share insights, create presentations, and make recommendations based on the findings
  • Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with stakeholder teams across business units (i.e., finance, operations, marketing, people ops, business development) to develop reporting requirements, identify data source needs with our data engineer, and build the end reports, communicating effectively and efficiently with internal, external, and executive teams

  • Develop both automated, scheduled reporting and accessible dashboards based on user type and access need
  • Structure large data sets to find usable information
  • Ensure data quality assurance for all reporting and effectively resolve issues with clear communication along the way
  • Maintain, unify, and update our data dictionary across departments

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven experience in an analytics role
  • High proficiency in SQL, Excel, and database management (Redshift)
  • Extensive experience with data visualization with Tableau

  • Ability to both manipulate and leverage data to produce reports and select campaign lists
