HIM Data Analyst
This position requires the employee to be a Missouri resident.
The purpose of this position is to complete quantitative analysis on specific data sets within the Electronic Health Record.
Priority analysis will occur on items such as ensuring all required paperwork is obtained on all clients at admission to various other analysis as requested.
The position will also do trending and report to management and leadership as required. Full-time remote or hybrid position, open to Missouri residents.
Responsibilities include :
- Responsible for running weekly reports on all new and re-admitted clients to Compass Health to ensure all required intake paperwork is presented and accounted for
- Responsible for monitoring and identifying data problem areas and conduct research to determine best course of action
- Monitor data for process improvement opportunities
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Responsible for ensuring chain of command notification to advise those of incomplete paperwork
- Responsible for creating and / or maintaining reports with Excel or Power BI
- Responsible for data entry and data scrubbing
- Develop control structures within the organizational environment to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels
- Other duties as assigned
- Associate's degree in computer applications or related field required
- Bachelor's degree in computer applications or related field preferred
- At least two (2) years computer applications experience required if Associates degree is the highest degree obtained
- Knowledge of data extraction from electronic health records preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite and strong understanding of relational databases preferred
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel as a database both for importing & analyzing data preferred

Healthcare Data Analyst
Details of the role :
Qualifications
- Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, computer science, business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance or related field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience working with large databases, data verification, and data management or IT experience
- Working knowledge of SQL / querying languages, should be able to write complex queries. Having teradata knowledge is plus.
- Should have knowledge on Facets or Amisys payer suites.
- Working knowledge on ETL tools like SSIS.
- Should have healthcare knowledge on claims, encounters and risk adjustment space.
Key Responsibilities :
- Work with business stake holders and understand the requirements.
- Create user stories and assign them to the development team for the implementation and perform UAT validations.
- Have knowledge on Jira / Confluence for direction and planning
- Provide advanced analytical support for business operations in all or some of the following areas : claims, provider data, member data, clinical data, HEDIS, pharmacy, external reporting
- Extract, load, model, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sources
- Review data to determine operational impacts and needed actions; elevate issues, trends, areas for improvement and opportunities to management.

Associate Data Analyst
The Associate Data Analyst role is to support and ensure the efficient operation of the company’s data process infrastructure, and provide support efforts in data analysis, optimizing, and advancing the organization’s data platform, based on the strategic recommendations by the Director, Data Operations and Manager, Data Operations.
This includes support projects, data process infrastructure performance, availability, scalability, and security. The Associate Data Analyst will also schedule and direct activities to resolve data process infrastructure problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
General Responsibilities :
- Support, refine and further develop existing ETL feeds
- Monitor and maintain all data updates
- Develop database objects and scripts to load data
- Provide technical documentation for data feeds
- Establish and maintain consistent data element definitions
- Identify and advance opportunities to improve dataflows and supporting processes
- Assist in the architecture design and testing of new systems
- Develop reports for SQL reporting services as well as performing ad-hoc report request
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Technical or other applicable discipline.
