  • Conduct meeting sessions with internal and external stakeholders to gather existing and needed data requirements for pre-hospital, hospital and post-hospital stroke data as directed by the Department;
  • Conduct analyses (gap, implementation, process analyses) of current state of Florida's existing pre-hospital (Emergency Medical Services - EMS) stroke data collection methods and quality of data collection;
  • Compile and analyze medical data using the Department's EMSTARS / Biospatial applications and analytical tools;
  • Analyze and identify the data requirements and methodology to link EMS pre-hospital data with the Florida Stroke Registry;
  • Create datasets / queries / reports of needed pre-hospital (EMS) data to support linkage efforts to the Florida Stroke Registry (FSR);
  • Prepare reports, data summaries, and other written documentation of stroke surveillance activities as directed by the Department;
  • Conduct quality improvement process analysis activities of the data collection processes of EMS stroke data collection or other related stroke data sources;
  • Develop recommendations for the improvement of processes and / or data collection of stroke data and the integration of EMS data with other related stroke data sources;
  • Provide technical assistance (Subject Matter Expert), outreach, presentations and training materials to improve the quality of data collection and use of Coverdell measures;
  • Perform technical and procedural support for project stakeholders as directed by the Department;
  • Attend status meetings and / or Joint Application Design sessions as directed by the Department;

Communicate in written format with project teams and internal stakeholders regarding project activities, deliverables, and status as directed by the Department.

PRIMARY PURPOSE To collect, analyze and report data; to be responsible for the data integrity; and to generate reports verifying and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
