Dedicated Driver Qualifications :

• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• 9 Months T / T experience in the last 3 yrs, or 2 years of experience with in the past 5 years.

Local Deliveries : $25 per hour

Primary Purpose :

Operate twelve (12) passenger bus and / or other white fleet vehicle and all related equipment to provide safe and orderly transportation for students and other authorized persons to and from schools and other designated locations.

This position is for new bus drivers working towards their CDL license and is a temporary assignment until the CDL is obtained.

Major Responsibilities and Duties :

• Operate twelve (12) passenger bus or other white fleet vehicle and all related equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow assigned route and adhere to established schedules.
• Drive assigned vehicle to and from extracurricular activities.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections according to specifications to ensure vehicle can be operated safely and notify supervisor of needed repairs.
• Report all accidents / incidents, vehicle damage, student injuries, and mechanical problems and complete required corresponding reports.
• Complete and maintain accurate, updated, and timely records and reports including but not limited to those related to bus mileage, gas and oil consumption, and number of passengers transported.
• Keep assigned vehicle clean / neat and maintain appropriate level of fuel.
• Maintain effective behavior management control over groups of students; report student discipline problems to appropriate administrator.
• Supervise students while they board and exit the vehicle and cross the street.
• Instruct students on safe entering, exiting, and riding rules and regulations.
• Perform emergency evacuation of students on vehicle if necessary.
• Observe all traffic laws and safety regulations for motor vehicles.
• Ensure proper condition of emergency equipment, such as but not limited to first aid kit, fire extinguisher, flags, fuses, flares, crow bar, and reflector.
• Correct unsafe conditions in work area that could cause an accident and inform supervisor of any hazards that are not immediately correctable.
• Report immediately any hazardous conditions along the route.
• Anticipate problems such as traffic, students, weather, road conditions, schedule changes, etc. and make necessary adjustments to ensure student safety and reduce delays.
• Attend and complete required training programs.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with students, parents, school personnel, and co-workers.
• Operate and monitor two-way radio equipment to communicate with transportation office and other drivers.
• Assist other drivers when necessary.
• May be assigned to work as a bus aide when necessary.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE :

Responsible for driving commercial vehicle to deliver products to customers. Ensures accuracy of all paperwork related to the job.

Responsible for safety of fellow employees and the public while operating company vehicles and / or performing any company activity.

Responsibilities include driving a commercial vehicle rotating stock and inventory checks.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Delivers and picks up products from home patients and clinics according to established safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensures good customer relations by consistently delivering orders on time and behaving with integrity in a courteous and professional manner
• May take note of and possibly resolve customer complaints. Reports more complex issues and complaints to DC staff or Customer Service for resolution Observe and reports any pertinent anomalies at customer sites
• May set up product and / or place product on shelves or racks at customer sites
• Performs all duties and functions with the goal to achieve OSHA-related targets for recordable incidents and lost time incidents
• Performs rotation and inventory checks of existing product ensuring that an adequate inventory is available for customers
• Obtains customer signature for pickup and delivery of dialysis product
• Adheres to all federal and state specific DOT regulations including but not limited to GVW (Gross Vehicle weight) and hours of service
• Identify and recommend options for route improvements to management as appropriate
• Vehicle related responsibilities include but are not limited to : Performing pre and post trip Inspections of assigned vehicle Identify problems and address appropriately May perform routine maintenance on vehicle Unloading and loading freight as required according to specified procedures and regulations Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle
• Participates in monthly / quarterly / annual training for Good Manufacturing Practices Health & Safety and Compliance.
• Remains updated with all annually revised regulatory standards.
• Maintains a satisfactory driving record
• Operates material-handling equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures as required
• Performs functions that require full knowledge of general aspects of the job.
• Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution as deemed necessary.
• Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.

High School Diploma GED or equivalent work experience required.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS :

• Minimum 1 2 years of related experience.
• 1 year free of OSHA recordables DOT accidents quality issues roadside inspection violations DOT major logbook violations and significant property damage.
• Must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Must possess a Class A or Class B commercial license
• Prefer possession of a HazMat endorsement.
• Experience with on-board computers paperless DOT logs and / or electronic capture applications preferred.
• Experience with Routing software / fleet management and on-board fleet management systems.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor at all times.
• Strong customer service skills.

Summary : The Driver (CDL A) is responsible for the delivery of insulation products to job sites based on a provided schedule.

This will include ensuring on-time delivery and professional interaction with customers at delivery sites. Assisting in the warehouse with production and moving materials and products may also be required.

Responsibilities :

• Loads and unloads trucks of products and materials.
• Ensures truck maintenance standards are met.
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections and conducts minor maintenance as needed.
• Completes daily DOT logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Processes paperwork such as tickets and bills of lading.
• Ensures the customer signed the receipt of material and collects on COD charges.
• Verifies material counts are correct upon delivery to maintain inventory accuracy.

Qualifications :

• Valid CDL (Class A) license in compliance with company policy and DOT regulations, required.
• One year of verifiable experience driving a tractor / trailer or straight truck, required.
• Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs.
