Logistics Transportation Coordinator, Project Kuiper

Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Key job responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently load, ship and receive material for both production and development efforts.
  • Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually receive material
  • Document system issues, process flaws and inefficiencies. Communicate with quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems.
  • Efficiently move material between sites both physically and virtually.
  • Perform loading activities by operating equipment including, but not limited to: forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, hand cart, packaging equipment, and other machinery necessary for dock operations
  • Accurately track and account for all material and equipment loaded and unloaded from vehicles
  • Perform vehicle inspections, ensure all security and transportation monitoring systems are operating and accurately reporting data
  • Manage equipment repair requests in a timely manner
  • Interact with third-party transportation providers, drivers, and dispatchers
  • Track SLA, exceptions, overage/shortage/damages and ensure accuracy in all piece counts and shipping documents.
  • Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, package inspections, audits and related administrative duties

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $32/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location. A day in the life
A day in the life of a Transportation Coordinator includes, but is not limited to, loading / offloading materials from trucks, receiving material against purchase orders, moving material between sites and locations internally, facilitating 3PL partner logistics through effective communication with dispatch. Coordinate and communicate with internal customers to deliver results against time bound expectations.
