The Quality Team at Project Kuiper is looking for an innovative Quality Engineer to join our team and deliver quality assurance objectives within our Vehicle Assembly & Test team.





Key job responsibilities
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will serve to define quality requirements, develop and deploy quality plans, and verify production methods in order to deliver aerospace grade quality at unprecedented scale to support Project Kuiper's mission.

The Quality Engineer will be a subject matter expert in assembly and test methods for the integration of large electromechanical assemblies, and should have a background in aerospace hardware requirements for satellites.
  • Develop and lead Kuiper Quality management activities, including process definition and validation for assembly and test methods, part and process qualification, receiving inspection plans, in-process inspection capabilities, and process monitoring capabilities.
  • Lead MRB discussions determine product dispositions for nonconforming material.
  • Lead the Development and Launch of multiple aspects of the Quality Management System across Project Kuiper.
  • Dive Deep into root cause corrective action activities throughout the Project Kuiper Production System, particularly for assembly and test work cells.
  • Work directly with Receiving Inspection, Supplier Quality, and Engineering teams to Develop and Qualify inspection, monitoring, and verification methods for the Kuiper Production System.

As a PIT RF Communications System Payload Integration and Test Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to design and test innovative product solutions. You will work closely with colleagues throughout Project Kuiper’s inter-disciplinary team and engage third party suppliers in order to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and optimization. As a member of the Payload Integration and Test team, you will be responsible for verification and validation of the entire wireless system composed of multiple wireless components. Responsibilities

The Kuiper Solutions Engineering team is a multi-disciplinary technology team involved in developing and delivering targeted and scalable solutions for custom satellite and ground applications. The Solutions Engineering team works closely with the core Kuiper team, and addresses the needs of specific customers (such as government agencies). The Mechanical Engineer will deliver innovative and fast-paced design, analysis and/or test solutions at both the satellite system and sub-system level.

The Mechanical Engineer will have an outstanding background in one or more of the following: space vehicle design, analysis, and electro-mechanical systems integration and test. The ideal candidate has experience making major optimization trades for satellite bus architectures including integration with payload subsystems. This is a hands-on role for a highly collaborative individual that combines superb technical and analytical capabilities to convert analytic trade studies to a qualified physical vehicle, while meeting cross discipline requirements. The candidate will have a sharp focus on the specific needs of the customer effectively show that proposed solutions will meet the customer’s goals.

In Project Kuiper Enterprise Engineering, we build the software, services, and infrastructure that enable our program to design and engineer the future of LEO Satellite based broadband services. Our team succeeds when the entire Project Kuiper organization can scale as needed to be successful.

Leading an effort to enhance the Identity and Access Management (IAM) function for our organization. Work cross functionally to gather requirements, design proper controls, and implement the strategy for internal Kuiper resources. This includes team systems and tools, lab networks, and access to AWS cloud infrastructure. Responsible for the design and deployment of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems of internal Project Kuiper resources. Collaborate with Amazon Security teams and key stakeholders to intake requirements and deliver a customer obsessed IAM experience to Project Kuiper specific resources.


Key job responsibilities
  • Deliver services to enable effective Identity and Access Management throughout internal operations.
  • Enforce compliance with IAM principals including: least privilege access, password management, Audit logging.
  • Drive 3rd party secure collaboration efforts to accelerate Kuiper projects.
  • Partner with Amazon security organizations to ensure compliance with existing security policies.
  • Understand the Amazon Identity Management system, holistically and identify existing services and capabilities that may solve existing problems.
  • Engage with and influence the key stakeholders and internal teams to ensure compliance, security and operational functional requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Create and implement automated processes that reduce manual efforts and increase overall efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop monitoring and reporting on the health, effectiveness and efficiency of IAM services.
  • Due to the need to access certain federal controlled information, you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
