JOB PURPOSE :

Bartenders directly service the bar and assigned tables, while assisting with Runner and Busser functions. Bartenders take food and beverage orders while providing personalized, exemplary service for assigned guests.

Bartenders are also responsible for making alcoholic beverages for all guests in the restaurant.

The starting pay rate for all Front of House employees at Din Tai Fung (Southcenter) is the local minimum + Tips.

Summary

The ideal Bartender candidate must have previous food service and cocktail experience within a similar role and have a hands on approach, be an excellent communicator, ensure customers are served promptly & courteously, and comply with hygiene and safety regulations.

Essential Functions

• Create, mix and serve beverages to our clients, presenting a friendly, pleasant and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures when handling food and beverages.
• Process cash and credit card payments.
• Maintain and replace bar stock as needed.
• Ensure patrons are of legal drinking age before serving alcohol. Monitor guest's alcohol intake and prohibit alcohol service to intoxicated guests.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, glasses and utensils.
• Comply with federal, state, local, and all legislative and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• 1-year previous bartending experience in restaurant / hospitality / entertainment management in bar service required.
• Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive in problem solving.
• Flexible with varying schedules to reflect the business needs.
• Must have knowledge of food & beverage preparation and service.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull stock, chairs, tables up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Prepare and provide beverage service in a friendly, courteous and timely manner. Prepare beverages for cocktail servers to provide guest service.

Act as a cashier when settling beverages.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Recites complete list of beverage selections.
• Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent

portion control.

Inputs and controls ordering through register during each transaction maintaining accountability as

well as receipts to guests for all beverages served.

• Frequently checks back with and entertains guests.
• Prepares bar for next shift, bringing all fruit and supply levels back to bar.
• Maintains cleanliness of guest areas at all times including removing empty glasses / bottles.
• Abides by all State, Federal and Company liquor regulations pertaining to alcoholic beverage service

to minors and intoxicated guests.
