Bartender must service server’s the service well with the same accuracy and mannerisms. Bartenders
are responsible for presenting themselves as a positive reflection of the venue while marketing to
potential customers.

Acts as an ambassador of the venue, marketing the venue and all products offered to the targeted
customer base.
Is aware of the impact individual behavior will have on the venue presents oneself as a public
relations steward always.
Collects customer information for the venue database, while constantly striving to increase the size of
your personal clientele.
Constantly provides customers with accurate information about the venue and property as well as
the entertainment offered in each.
Meets marketing requirements established by management.
Prepares all products per established venue recipes, focusing on proper portion size control.
Welcomes all customers to the venue professionally and courteously, per the established venue
sequence of service.
Works with a sense of urgency to anticipate customer needs. Work with the same degree of urgency
to assist other team members when the opportunity arises.
Follows established cash handling procedures to close out all transactions, ensuring closing bank
balances with opening bank and POS reconciliation.
Offers a sincere thank you and farewell to each customer as they leave the bar, using the
customer’s name when possible.
Works with a high level of professionalism towards all customers, ensuring they will return to the
venue.
Communicates with management and service staff immediately to rectify all customer needs and
requests.
Communicates and work with all support staff to ensure bar is properly stocked and prepared for
operations.
Communicates and work with all support staff to ensure inventory is maintained at established
par levels.
Maintains a clean and visually appealing bar always.
Cleans and maintains all bar equipment to keep in proper working condition, informing
management any time equipment needs repair or replacement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Complete opening duties as assigned.
- Take Guests' food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
- Input orders into point-of-sale system. Legibly document orders when point of sale system is inoperative and communicate with expeditor.
- Make and serve alcoholic beverage items at bar and serve to Guests and servers.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
- Open wine / champagne bottles for Guests as well as wine by the glass selections.
- Make all varieties of coffee in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Serve all food courses and non-alcoholic beverage items to Guests.
- Acknowledge all guests, anticipate Guests’ needs, and respond promptly to guests however busy.
- Interact in courteous and professional manner with Guests, management and co-workers.
- Ensure proper bar-top maintenance throughout the meal and the bar-top is wiped and clean for next Guest.
- Wash and stock all bar glassware throughout shift.
- Present guest checks and process payments adhering to cash handling and credit policies.

Bartenders are responsible for preparing beverages for guests according to recipe, as well as serving food for guests that dine in the bar area.
