Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
- Generates a friendly atmosphere by encouraging employees to greet and speak to customers; providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service to customers and sets a good example
- Sets the department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store
- Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible
- Assists customers by : escorting them to the products they’re looking forsecuring products that are out of reachloading or unloading heavy itemsmaking note of and passing along customer suggestions or requestsperforming other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience
- Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call including taking product orders
- Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable)
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
- Present drink menus, make specific recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages
- Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws
- Serve wine, bottled or draft beer
- Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
- Clean bars, work areas, and tables
- Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
- Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in other areas of store as needed
- Performs other job related duties and special projects as required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics
- Must have the ability to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions.
- Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Possess the ability to compose original correspondence; interpret written work instructions; interview job applicants;
follow technical manuals and have increased contact with people.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months to one year of related work experience.
- Must have ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force (shared team lifting) occasionally; exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently;
and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), and field of vision.
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities : Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, finger dexterity, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions
This is a fast paced food service work environment dealing directly with the public. Possible equipment movement hazards and exposure to cleaning chemicals and solvents.

BASIC PURPOSE :
A Bartender is someone who enjoys people and is excited about working on a winning team! As a bartender, we count on you to create a unique, personal experience for each guest you encounter.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- This position plays a critical role in building brand and customer loyalty.
- Greet each guest with enthusiasm.

Restaurant Bartenders are responsible for providing service and preparing beverages for the patrons of the bar and restaurant.
Bartenders represent the hotel to all guests, assisting with guest needs, and completing all daily duties and assigned projects utilizing the principles, policies and standards of Hulsing Hotels.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Ensure guest satisfaction for all guests through proper progression of service sequence.
- Be fully conversant with a wide array of specialty drinks and cocktails.
- Adhere to all pouring standards.
- Card all guests, not serve or allow service of alcohol to minors, not serve guests who appear to be intoxicated.
- Have the ability to service multiple tables and guests in an efficient manner.
- Know all menu item ingredients, be conversant with the cooking techniques of each item, know the correct presentation of each menu item.
- Know how to efficiently operate the POS system.

A Great Wolf, the Bartender provides friendly and responsive service to all guests, ensuring a fun and safe environment. The Bartender prepares cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, has knowledge of common drinks, and makes suggestions to guests.
