Primary Responsibilities and Duties

Essential Functions :

  • Adhere to laws and company policy pertaining to the service of alcohol.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and help with their food and beverage selection.
  • Professional and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Execute orders.
  • Ensure cleanliness of bar area, set up, and stock bar for start of shift.
  • Gain proficiency in all specialty cocktails and be enthusiastic about our offerings.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • At least 2 years bartending experience required.
  • High-volume corporate experience is a plus.
  • Keen awareness of guest environment and needs.
  • Expert liquor, beer, and wine knowledge.
  • Strong craft beer and cocktail knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, fellow team members, and management to provide exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Good judgement skills and adaptive attitude
  • Must have all required food / alcohol certifications as designated by location.

Supervisory Responsibilities : Indirectly oversees barbacks (non-supervisory)

  • Must have good hearing for accurate communication with guests.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects and tool controls.
  • Must be able to work in areas of loud noise.
  • Required to frequently reach, bend, stoop, and carry.
  • Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments; indoors and outdoors
  • Must be able to tolerate potential exposure to allergens (peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish)
  • Extended periods of standing and walking to different parts of the restaurant at different levels.
  • Fast paced hands on position.
  • Dining facilities are both outside and inside. Lighting is maintained at a low level.

What You’ll Do

Prepare and serve drinks for guests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner, all the while providing outstanding service to our guests along the way.

You’ll act as an advocate for the bar / restaurant, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return.

Some of your responsibilities include :

  • Greet and welcome our guests and promptly serve them food and beverages.
  • Pour drinks, using standard pour according to specifications, receive and process orders in the POS system with accuracy.
  • Serve food and drinks to guests, along with filling orders for the servers.
  • Notify a manager if a guest is becoming intoxicated or rude to other guests.

What You Bring

  • 1 year of bartending experience is preferred.
