As a Warehouse Worker at the Chicago Theatre you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and breaking down your assigned bar locations.

Anticipating the needs of Bartenders so that they can continue to serve snacks and beverages to guests in a timely and responsible manner.

Always promote positive guest / client experience and superior customer service. As a crucial member of our team, a Chicago Theatre Warehouse Worker may be requested to work a flexible schedule inclusive of early mornings, day & evening shifts (late evenings may be required), weekends, holidays and back to back events.

Additionally, a barback may be assigned to an area where adverse temperature / weather conditions may affect them. This role requires Warehouse Workers to stand for long periods of time and move freely throughout the property during their shift.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for assisting in the day to day operations of the Chicago Food & Merchandise department to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Responsible for providing fast, professional and courteous service to all bartenders. Must be able to help supervisors and carry product up and down the stairs from the warehouse to the bar locations in a smooth, efficient and pleasant manner.
  • Must work rapidly and remain calm during peak periods.
  • Must know all bar positions and where all products is housed and ready to transport any / all product at any time when asked to do so.
  • Must also break down machinery including, but not limited to popcorn machines, drink machines, and coolers.
  • Responsible for setting up stock and maintain bar area to TCT.
  • Ensure liquor, garnish, glasses, product, etc. are properly stored and presented. Deliver and distribute ice accordingly.
  • Break down and clean bar and bar area.
  • Help maintain warehouse area according to TCT standards by following Chicago Health Code.
  • Conduct physical inventory, set up / break down designated work areas and maintain product levels. Oversee specific sections of the theater, insuring staff and section is show ready and guest’s needs are met.
  • Respond to all escalated guest issues and determine appropriate actions to resolve problems and / or issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide information to patrons and answer questions / inquiries regarding The Chicago Theatre facility.

What do you need to succeed?

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • The ideal candidate will prior barback experience.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Must be able to complete daily and nightly inventory.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB :

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and have a food handler permit.
  • Must be receptive to working outside in inclement weather and extreme temperatures.
  • Able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.
  • Must be comfortable with heights.
