POSTION : BARBACK / DRINK RUNNER FLSA DESIGNATION : NON-EXEMPT POSITION REPORTS TO : RESTAURANT MANAGER SALARY RANGE : $15.

50 PER HOUR POSITION PURPOSE : The Barback / Drink Runner is responsible for the designated service area and to assist bar / service staff with set-up and clean up of all areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES : Must be able to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures. Responsible for assisting the bartenders in mixing drink orders for patrons.

Responsible for cleaning designated areas, in accordance with policies and procedures, morning / evening routines and hygiene requirements.

Responsible for stocking private bar carts, clipboard and uniform. Must be able to clean all private bars, private bar carts, and storerooms.

Must possess the ability to stock all necessary items for the bar (i.e. glasses, mixing equipment, etc.) Must have the ability to slice and prepare all fruit garnishes.

OTHER : Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the organization.

In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Cipriani rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facilities.

Employees who violate rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the restaurant on a timely basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100lbs.
