POSITION DESCRIPTION POSTION : BUS ATTENDANT / BARBACK FLSA DESIGNATION : NON-EXEMPT POSITION REPORTS TO : RESTAURANT MANAGER POSITION PURPOSE : The Bus Attendant / Barback's responsibilities include assisting Servers or Bartenders in steps of guest service, resets tables in a speedy, professional and effective manner.
Interacts with the restaurant guests, fellow employees, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES : Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests. Maintain the general cleanliness and orderliness of the tables.
Deliver, fill, re-fill water, as requested by guests and / or directed by servers. Clears and resets tables, cleans table area, including banquettes, during service.
Helps ensure guest satisfaction through active participation in service. Maintain general cleanliness of stations and entire venue.
Properly sets-up floor and side stations, performs side-work and other opening / closing procedures as directed by management, including : Responsible for making sure all tables and chairs / banquettes are clean and free of debris Sets tables with proper settings Wipes down chairs, tables and banquettes Stocks side-stations with prescribed supplies Performs opening side-work as prescribed Performs closing side-work as prescribed Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings and any training sessions or departmental meetings. Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members.

Door Attendant
POSTION : DOOR ATTENDANT FLSA DESIGNATION : NON-EXEMPT POSITION PURPOSE : The Door Attendant guards the entrance of a building, contributing to security measures and providing basic assistance.
This entails opening doors for people and greeting them as they come in, but can include other services such as carrying luggage and receiving packages.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES : Greet and welcome guests and visitors to the hotel. Greet visitors and guests on departure, wishing them a pleasant journey.
Relieve guests of their luggage on arrival, store it and log it if a Bell Attendant is not available. Handle all guests requests, queries, comments and complaints in a courteous and prompt manner, taking the necessary action steps and ensuring follow-through where required.
Open cars / taxis doors arriving at the hotel and give help to people in need, especially elderly, disabled, children, and people carrying heavy loads.
