What does it take to be successful in this role?

• Knowledge of practices in accordance with current industry standards, methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Knowledge of the principles of aircraft systems operations.
• Knowledge of the testing and diagnostic equipment used to troubleshoot and repair aircraft.

Education & Experience Required

• Bachelor's Degree Aviation Maintenance, Aviation Maintenance Science, Aviation Technical Management, Aviation Business Administration, or other Aviation or Management related program.
• Valid drivers license
• Valid Passport
• Certificate - Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
• One year of aviation and fuel handling experience; Fuel handling, testing, fuel tank inspecting, aircraft inspecting, repairing, servicing, and the capacity of returning / approving an aircraft to return to service as a certified A&P Technician.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Education & Experience Preferred

• Certificate - A / B UST Operator Certificate, approved by the Georgia EPD, or equivalent Fuel Quality Control Certification
• Experience working on Gulfstream G280’s, or other models of Mid-Sized, SuperMid-Sized or Large-Cabin business aircraft.
• Preferred Previously attended Gulfstream, Collins and / or Honeywell Engine training classes.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the handling, storage, and adherence to all regulatory practices of aviation fuel; oversees and maintains the fuel farm, fuel inventories, fuel deliveries / transfers, inspections of fuel storage tanks, and testing of fuel.
• Conduct quality control testing and documentation to ensure adherence to all federal, state, and environmental laws as well as all Aflac aviation practices for the oversight of on sight fuel storage and usage.
• Assist with regular safety inspections on company aircraft.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair as required on company aircraft.
• Perform maintenance on our company aircraft on the road with short notice.
• Perform the position of Flight Technician as required for our company.
• Perform upkeep of facility mechanicals, liaison for support services and special projects.
• Manage and accomplish tasks as necessary related to troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, operation, record keeping and upgrading of systems and equipment installed in and around the facility including but not limited to :
• Security System
• Fire Protection System
• First Aid
• Gates and Locks
• Heating and Air Conditioning
• Telephone and Automated Attendant
• Fuel Farm
• Aircraft Support Equipment / GSE
• Water Filtration Equipment
• Landscaping and Sprinkler System
• Perform aircraft fueling and movement.
• Perform cleaning and servicing of aircraft, lavatory, and water systems.
• Assist with arriving and dispatching departing aircraft.
• Assist with baggage handling, loading, unloading, greeting and service of guests.
• Scheduling and interfacing with hangar facilities contractors.
• Perform routine hangar inspections.
• Order and assist in maintaining aircraft spare parts inventory.
• Conduct a periodic inventory and replacing outdated materials.
• Maintain consumable maintenance stock.
• Conduct scheduled hangar inspections for security, OSHA, and safety issues.
• Assist with maintaining department recycling program.
• Interface with the Aflac Security Department and vendors with confirming and ensuring hangar security.
• Perform processing of items for shipping, receiving, and storage.
• Assist and Monitor vendors with hangar facility roof access.
• Assist with seasonal hangar equipment and hangar storm preparedness.
• Research for new initiatives particularly focused on enhancing safety, operational capability, and cost control.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to : education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.

The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.

This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.

The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $105,000.

Supervision of the construction project resulting in successful project completion.

• Able to perform all essential Asst. Supt. / Project Engineer job responsibilities
• Attend and participate in Safety Training Program and enforce safety procedures
• Verify subcontractor certificates of insurance
• Prepare and maintain responsibility for CPM job schedule
• Develop Owner and Architect’s confidence
• Recruit, organize, train, direct and coordinate field construction team including subcontractor’s direct hire work
• Assure work quality - set standards for quality control
• Order materials and tools and plan supply allotment to avoid crisis buying
• Prepare necessary reports (e.g. time sheets, work orders, daily reports and invoice approval)
• Document and complete all punchlists in a timely manner
• Review all drawings, specifications and subcontractor submittals
• Chair or attend pre-job conference, regular subcontractor meetings
• Perform start-up testing and turnover to Owner
• Document final close-out and Owner’s acceptance
• Perform manual work only in rare circumstances when, in employee’s independent judgment, exigent circumstances require it
• Ability to travel as required by management
• Ability to supervise multiple projects over a large geographic area as required by management
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned
• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience (4 years as Assistant Superintendent)
• Extensive field construction experience at supervisory level
• Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification, or achievement of STS Certification within six months of hire, maintenance of active certification status
• Working knowledge of all crafts (ability to read and understand specifications for all trades), and prior experience as foreman or journeyman in at least one trade, or project engineer
• Knowledge of OSHA laws
• Knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting and cost control
• Ability in problem-solving
• Strong sense of urgency

Prepares and processes change orders, change directives, and contract amendments.

Monitors, and reviews the production of engineering drawings and specifications.

Monitors and reviews the production of engineering investigations or planning work by other consultants.

Reviews and evaluates developed plans and criteria for new projects, ensuring the plans meet the specifications and are a constructable, viable, and cost-effective solution.

Analyzes technical problems, assessing the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, including new approaches and alternative solutions.

Will be field deployed spending the majority of time at the clients office or monitoring construction activities

Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time as deem necessary.

What will you contribute?

B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or B.S. or M.S. in Project Management

CCM, PMP, or PE certification strongly recommended

A minimum of 8 years of relevant aviation related project management and / or civil engineering experience is required.

Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite is required. Working knowledge of Primavera P6 is a plus

Proven writing and communication skills.
