- You’ll be : Role Summary / Purpose*As a Mechanical Assembler in Unit Rebuild you will perform various operations including but not limited to;
disassembly, inspection and reassembly of rotating equipment including gas turbines units, and centrifugal compressors from multiple OEM's.
This position may be required to flex between first and second shift as needed.*Essential Responsibilities*
- Maintain a Safety-first mindset
- Demonstrate familiarity with hand, pneumatic and hydraulic tooling Accurately use precision measuring equipment (ID / OD / depth micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Possess a strong mechanical aptitude with ability to independently comprehend complex machining or assembly drawings
- Work as a team member to follow detailed work routers for inspection and repair of units and rotating equipment while under demanding time constraints
- Provide On-Site support as needed*Qualifications / Requirements*
- High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
- Minimum 5 years of overhaul and repair experience in at least one of the following areas : GE10, PGT 10 / PGT 25, Frame 3 / Frame 5, Expanders, Steam turbines, or Turbo machinery (single / multistage, axial flow centrifugal compressors, cryo turbo-expanders, hot-gas expanders, oil free rotary screw compressors, and / or centrifugal pumps)
- Advanced degree can be substituted for experience.*Eligibility requirements : *
- Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
- Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
- Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
- Lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs.*Desired Characteristics*
- Familiarity with job-shop, manufacturing or field service environments
- Experience with crane rigging and complex lifts
- Rotating element disassembly / reassembly and rotor balance experience
- Experience with hydro-testing new and repaired casings / vessels

Job Duties & Responsibilities :
- Working under limited supervision, assembles instrument components and sub-components, electro-mechanical and hydraulic well logging assemblies and sub-assemblies, or electronic hybrid circuits.

JOB SUMMARY
Locates, visually inspects, cleans, repairs and assembles products such as valves, fittings and gages. Subject matter expert with best practices, processes and internal controls within the assembly area.
Has knowledge of commonly used functional & technical concepts, practices and procedures within manufacturing. Relies on minimal instructions and pre-established guidelines, may require independent judgment to perform the functions of the job.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and safely test company products for material compatibility, design life, safety, performance, and maintenance.
- Must be able to read and work from engineering drawings and sketches and have a working knowledge of compressed gases.
- Must be able to work with hand tools, operate test equipment and work safely with high pressure gases and handle hazardous gases and chemicals.
- Is responsible for recording lab data and test results and organizing them into a written test report.
- Develop and build 3D prototypes under direction to meet new market demands. Test for performance and gather data for use by Product and Design Engineering.
Record data and test results and make recommendations based on assembly experience.
Keep a daily record of all tests in progress for the purpose of writing an engineering lab report that draws conclusions, gives results, specifications and other important test information.
The report should include as much information as possible including materials of construction and lab test equipment used.
Maintain good daily housekeeping. Maintain the area at a level that allows for safe testing to proceed. Have equipment and test stands maintained regularly.
Make recommendations for new and replacement equipment and tools.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Knowledgeable of product and assembly application.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Graduate, must have minimum of two year technical degree with two to four years experience in Assembly / Test.
Experienced in interpreting work orders.

- Understanding of CAM-P and premium threads
