The Art director will be responsible for developing insightful, scroll-stopping creative concepts that bring the brief and strategy to life in ways that help redefine the assumptions of our audiences.

Salary Range
$97,240.00 - $159,760.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.

Associate Art Director
Position Overview :
The Associate Art Director will focus on executing technical production and collaborating with the creative team to ensure the successful execution of various art and design projects.
They will assist in overseeing the technical aspects of the production process, ensuring that the creative vision is translated into high-quality deliverables across different mediums.
The Associate Art Director will work closely with the Creative Director, project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to meet project goals and maintain a seamless production workflow.
This hybrid position requires regular on-site attendance in our Brooklyn, NY creative studio.
The targeted budget for this position is $60k-80k. This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the creative team to translate the creative vision into tangible deliverables, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing the photo and content production process, including asset creation, file management, and version control.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources and maintain an organized and streamlined production workflow.
- Work closely with designers to ensure the accurate implementation of design concepts across various platforms and mediums.
- Provide guidance and support in executing complex design elements and maintaining consistency throughout the production process.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on all deliverables to ensure technical accuracy, visual integrity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Identify and resolve any production-related issues, collaborating with relevant team members and stakeholders as necessary
- Act as a liaison between the creative team (including designers, developers, copywriters, and project managers) and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and seamless coordination.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, technical specifications, and production guidelines. Generate reports as necessary to provide insights into production metrics, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with photographers, videographers, stylists, and other relevant professionals to ensure the successful creation of visual assets that align with the project's objectives and creative vision.
- Take an active role in the post-production process, including image retouching, color correction, video editing, and other enhancements.
Ensure that the final output meets quality standards and effectively communicates the intended message or brand identity.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to technical production.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as graphic design, visual arts, or a relevant technical discipline, preferred.
- 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an advertising agency, design studio, or in-house creative department.
- Proficient knowledge of design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
and other relevant production software.
- Robust technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues effectively.
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

You will have the opportunity to help create, present, and produce compelling, persuasive and original ideas for our current clients and for new business.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Help develop content for a variety of print and digital projects, such as visual aids and websites
- Prepare and edit layouts for concepts approved by the Client; choose and place all visual elements of the project, including type, illustrations, and photographs necessary to produce the intended image;
layouts should contribute visual ideas, enhance the attractiveness of the message, and help to clarify and accent its meaning to the reader
- Understand the creative process and follow jobs from startup to completion

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
- Undergraduate degree in Design, Graphic Arts, Fine Arts or related field
- Understand the assigned brands, indications, therapeutic implications, and competition as well as regularly research trends in the appropriate areas
- Be adept at incorporating comments and changes in a timely and intelligent manner
- One or more years’ experience designing for a communications agency; pharmaceutical or HCP advertising experience a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in Photoshop, Quark, InDesign, Illustrator
- Digital experience and web, app, UX design
- A sense of design and branding, and an eye for detail
- Solid foundation in typography, layout, and design principles
- Strong communication and presentation skills; excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
