Pipe Welder Bilfinger Inc. known as a leading one-stop shop provider for complex industrial services is seeking Tube Welders for our Pensacola, FL facility.

Responsibilities : Safety is a priority; employee must understand construction risks and bring them to the attention of their supervisor.

Must be able to TIG, stick, and / or orbital weld on stainless and / or carbon (pipe size and material welded varies per site) Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws to ensure finish product meets site standards Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements and specifications Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and develop fabrication and installation plans Requirements : Must be able to pass tube welding test.

Quality minded, positive team player, safety conscious and production focused. Have basic math, reading, writing and computer skills.

Proficient in blueprint reading Must pass required weld tests NCCER certification is a plus Ability to work at heights greater than six feet off of the ground Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective equipment (face-shield, gloves, safety harness, etc.) Powered by JazzHR

The overall objective of this position is to align, fit, and weld fabricated sheet metal parts of our products per drawing specifications, and insure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.

Apply technical knowledge to review engineering drawings and determine requirements and specifications needed for the fabrication of sheet metal structures of our product.

Follow blueprints and layout specifications to position, align and fit parts for quality and efficient welding

Set up welding machines with the proper wire speed to produce a quality weld for different materials and thicknesses.

Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions and then examine the welds for quality specifications, including proper bead sizes.

Clean welds using hand scrappers, grinders and sanders as required to prepare surfaces for painting.

Proficiently operate a cutting torch, bank saw, ironworker, grinder and other fabrication equipment.

Maintain a safe, clean well organized work area.

Manually apply a filler rod to weld stainless and aluminum.

Clean stainless and aluminum weld joints using wire brush portable grinders or chemical baths.

Ensure quality and efficiency by completing the job task faster than estimated hours.

Serve as a mentor by coaching 2nd and 3rd Class Welders

Required Skills

• Monitor the welding, burning and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged.

The Fabrication Team customizes door frames to meet the needs of our commercial customers. This position is scheduled Monday -Friday 7am 3 : 30pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate material for each job based on the desired or necessary strength.
• Preps door frames for various hardware items using templates.
• Measures, cuts, and welds pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions.
• Connects pieces or secures seams by welding.
• Uses appropriate machinery to complete assigned jobs.
• Maintains clean and orderly workspace.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Able to perform grinding and joint preparation for NDE and inspection process and be proficient in carbon arc gouging.
