JOB STATEMENT : The lead / Operator has duel job responsibilities. The first responsibility is performing the regular scheduled duties as a Lift Truck Operator.

The second responsibility is filling in for an absent Working Supervisor during their leave in either the warehouse or pick line.

When required to fill in for an absent Working Supervisor, the Lead / Operator will ensure the efficient and safe operation of warehouse or pick line activities.

As a fill in for a Working Supervisor, the Lead / Operator must know all phases related to warehousing and pick line operations as these duties will vary according to shift and the assigned position needed at either the warehouse or pick line.

Duties and requirements are as follow, but no limited to the following :

Essential DUTIES

  • Fill in for a Working Supervisor that is absent from duty for the duration of the Working Supervisor absence. The given notice for the fill in position as Lead / Operator may be immediate or projected for a future date
  • Ensure that warehouse / pick line functions are performed in a safe, accurate, and economical manner
  • Operate a counterbalanced lift, narrow aisle lift, pallet truck, tug with jitney trailers, and DSD trucks (docking and positioning)
  • Ensure operators document pre-use inspections of lifts
  • Understand and apply correct trailer loading, accounting for weight distribution and securing the load with airbags and or load locks
  • Setup and direct crew for pick line replenishment
  • Set up the nightly pick, directing case pickers, jackpot attendants, stackers, and lift operators to their designated positions
  • Ensure South transfers are loaded and shipped within time requirements
  • Ensure Direct Store Delivery (DSD) trucks are docked, loaded, and positioned for departure
  • Assign warehouse crew members as needed
  • Ensure that all outbound loads are accurate, documented, and shipped in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all inbound loads are counted accurately and the appropriate system / paperwork is documented accurately.
  • Receive and verify inbound product and materials
  • Ensure bond to tax paid transfers are documented accurately
  • Maintain the facility in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Assume responsibility for the company safety program in the absence of a supervisor

Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Education / Experience :

  • Previous experience in warehouse, pick line or production
  • Current forklift OSHA (IVES) certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • IFS / IWS / Novacura systems
  • Basic computer skills
  • Case Wine, vintage dates, alcohol percentages, verities, bottle sizes, etc.
  • Written and system documentations
  • Pallet patterns / ties and full pallet configuration
  • Safe Work Habits
  • Understand and comply with ISO9001, HACCP, GMP and Standard Operating procedures, requirements and process
  • Read and write English
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Effectively communicate

Responsibilities :

  • Lead warehouse shift operations comprised of Supervisors, non-union and union Team Members.
  • Accountable to delivering daily operational performance tied to safety, quality, service and productivity.
  • Champion a safe workplace by being personally accountable and holding the team accountable to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a hazard free work environment, participate in safety initiatives and safety committees.

Qualifications :
