Frontmatec - Warehouse Associate

Key Responsibilities :

  • Daily maintenance of the warehouse returns processes including but not limited to, accurately receiving, communicating, updating systems, managing reports and vendor returns, sorting, verifying, creating shipping documents and shipments, and following up to complete the disposition of the returns.
  • Returns include repairs, blade sharpening, sharpening programs, and exchanges, including reporting and tracking specific KPIs.
  • Accurately support all receiving, inventory, shipping, and returns processes including but not limited to, receiving, double-checking, signing, counting, picking, packing, handling, etc.
  • Independently identify and verify items from product descriptions, ID numbers, and quantities against POs and Sales Orders for shipping and receiving accuracy.
  • Use standard warehouse equipment (with training) to load / unload / stock various size / shape items.
  • Prepare wooden pallets and crates for handling using common tools (with training).
  • Enter shipments and generate labels / documentation required.
  • Stock and cycle count according to group policy / procedure.
  • Help maintain a clean warehouse.
  • Arrange shipment, complete required documentation, and provide tracking information.
  • Support the spares sales and field service teams as requested.
  • Carry the spare parts, after-hours phone on nights and weekends, in rotation.
  • Other duties as assigned by the team leader.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to function independently and in a very detailed manner.
  • Organizes and follows up while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Drive to question, investigate, and improve.
  • Good computer skills with working knowledge / experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX would be a plus.
  • Be customer-oriented.
  • Previous warehouse and inventory experience required.
  • Forklift training and working knowledge of hand tools a plus
  • Team player.

Education and experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • 1-2 years of warehouse receiving, inventory, pick / pack / shipping experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Proven ability to complete full warehouse cycle (assess needs, plan work, communicate, coordinate, investigate, and evaluate independently and accurately).

Working conditions :

  • This job requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and walk for most of the day.
  • This job requires the ability to climb a ladder.
  • This job requires the ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • This job requires the ability to learn and operate hand tools and a forklift.
  • This job requires occasional overtime and scheduled, rotating nights and weekend on-call hours.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyzes and proposes methods of sustained productivity increases

  • Ensures safe working conditions including properly training employees on proper safety methods, assists Human Resources with the management of workers compensation claim

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal OSHA safety regulations
  • Knowledge of location, state and federal DOT transportation regulations
  • Experience in forklift certification and inspection, hazmat certification, operating various warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 60-75 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift
  • Must be able to work regularly at a height of up to 26 feet above the ground (with provided safety equipment / processes / training)
  • Must have strong leadership and organizations skills
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule with a "hands-on" management style
