Primary Job Duties :
Participate or lead early morning / daily operations and functions of the department. Sorts freight to the correct route and checks for missorts.
Ensures every delivery is sorted and accounted for. Resolves customer and delivery issues. Participates in activities to monitor delivery status and customer satisfaction by making deliveries as needed.
Ensures the warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times. Reviews individual driver performance weekly such as cargo loss and claims.
Responsible for scanning and sorting of all product on the dock to assist with tracking. Ensures operations function smoothly at the individual location so that all customer and company service expectations are met.
Establishes and maintains performance and productivity standards. Maintains a high level of service with customers that meets the expectations of Courier Express.
Creates goals and action plans for each aspect of the operating unit. Maintains positive employee relations and creates a positive work environment through the enforcement of safety and compliance standards.
Monitors the operations by resolving any issues that arise in the workplace. Provides feedback to management on the status of overall operations.
Secondary Job Duties :
Acts as a liaison and helps to resolve any issues to create a positive work environment. Maintains contact with the Operations Team, Area Manager, and Driver Recruiter to stay alert as to the needs of the company for new drivers.
Skills Required :
Ability to plan and carry out daily agenda with limited supervision, proven ability to multitask, highly developed organizational skills, ability to interact with employees at a variety of levels, excellent communication skills, rapid response to issues, attention to detail, ability to communicate with management on a routine basis
Computer Skills Preferred :
Microsoft Office, web based applications
Personal Skills Preferred :
Schedule flexibility based on customer’s needs, ability to carry / lift 70lbs, dedication to excellence, hardworking, punctual, forward thinker, leadership

Warehouse Associate
Summary Duties include but are not limited to unloading trucks from outside vendors, loading truck for delivery to job sites, determining where all material is to be stored inside the warehouse, and performing quality assurance check prior to trucks leaving the warehouse.
Responsibilities
Operations Created with Sketch. Operations Ships material for jobsites per loading sheet. Removes inventory from WHConnect via work phones.
Receives material from outside vendors in WHConnect via work phones. Detailed work ethic to identify and label materials.
Stores material in an efficient manner. Logs hours spent on each job. Operates a forklift. Loads inventory to be returned to vendors.
Quality Assurance Created with Sketch. Quality Assurance Performs quality assurance checks on each delivery to ensure all material is loaded per the delivery ticket.
Responsible for assisting with maintaining a 5S score of 4.5 in the warehouse. Assists with other functions if time allows.
Assists with job site deliveries. Submits time ticket weekly to the Warehouse Supervisor for approval. Perform daily Safety Observations and submit Near Miss observations as applicable.
Cross-train and support Tool Room job responsibilities, as needed.
Requirements
Experience Created with Sketch. Education & Experience High School diploma or GED. At least 6 months of experience in shipping and receiving.
Ability to operate a forklift. Basic computer skills. Social Media Created with Sketch. Preferred Ability to operate a lull.

Responsibilities
Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role :
- Oversee all daily operations of cycle counting shipping and receiving, back counter and cycle counting
- Oversee all production sheets.
Update them daily
- Review KPI reports to make sure warehouse is up to high standards
- Supervise and direct the day-to-day activities of the parts department employees as necessary
- The lead will fill in when other team members are absent
- Over see that core returns are being done
- Be trained in procedures for freight and call tags, in order to assist, and take over in the warehouse manager's absence
- Assist in effectively training new employees
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Job Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED a must
- 4+ years of experience in Shipping / Receiving and Parts
- 2 or more years’ experience with supervising people
- Understanding of Back Counter Operations and cycle counting desirable
- Some automotive parts counter experience and basic automotive knowledge desirable
- Understands inventory management and stocking levels
- May be required to work overtime on short notice
- Computer skills; MS Excel, Outlook, Teams, MS Word
- Detail oriented, highly organized and responsible
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead by example and train new employees effectively

Job Details
GENERAL SUMMARY :
Supervises the timely receipt, stocking, order filling, or shipment of merchandise. May supervise employees who operate rolling stock equipment and / or automated equipment.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Reviews WMS reports; notifies WMS personnel regarding shutdowns or other WMS failures.
- Utilizes Standard Operating Procedures to resolve and correct problems; communicates issues to Inbound / Outbound Manager.
- Reviews reports to determine daily department staffing levels; reviews staffing plan with Inbound / Outbound Manager.
- Develops continuity in utilization of Labor Transfer pay program.
- Conducts weekly and monthly staffing review with Inbound / Outbound Manager.
- Partners with Training Department to monitor new employee development tracking.
- Plans daily production goals.
- Utilizes Productivity Improvement Plan process to identify improvement areas.
- Reviews quality measurements and reports status to Inbound / Outbound Manager.
- Maintains employee records on a daily basis.
- Supports safety programs to reduce or eliminate employee injuries.
- Conducts annual employee reviews and merit increase evaluations.
- Interviews and selects candidates for employment in partnership with Human Resources department.
- Performs counseling sessions and is empowered to dismiss employees in applicable situations.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS :
- Understanding of inventory accounting.
- Knowledge of specific inbound or outbound functions within the distribution center.
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated skills necessary to assist employees in conflict resolution and one-to-one communication.
- Good oral and written communication skills to include interviewing skills.
- Computer skills : warehouse management systems, Word, Excel, and payroll / personnel systems such as KRONOS.
WORK EXPERIENCE and / or EDUCATION :
- Automated distribution center experience preferred.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
- Must be able to physically move throughout the distribution center to monitor the flow of merchandise.
- Exposure to changing climatic conditions.
- Exposure to dust, lighting and noise.
- Some heavy lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling may be required to assist employees when necessary.
