SUMMARY

The Warehouse Lead position is a critical role for The Poole and Kent The successful candidate will assist the Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day warehouse operations, which includes ensuring warehouse deliverables are accomplished to include working on the floor of the warehouse in the execution of deliveries, management of materials, coordination and communication with delivery drivers, shipping, receiving, organizing warehouse, fulfilling orders, and using / maintaining warehouse

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position is on the floor of the warehouse and is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day warehouse This includes material management, shipping and receiving, deliverables coming from and / or being received by the warehouse, working with coworkers, vendors, third parties in the successful management of products maintained, received, and shipped from the
• Maintains receiving, shipping, warehousing documentation in accordance company standards and Accountability for accurately maintaining and / or initiating packing slips, delivery tickets, records management for deliveries and / or shipments,
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage
• Provides status reports pertaining to orders, shipments, and inventory
• Assists Warehouse Manager in operational requirements relating to scheduling and following up on warehouse deliverables to job sites to ensure products are properly scheduled and
• Ensure maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment when
• Maintains vehicle and equipment records for compliance with Company fleet
• Audit health, safety, and environmental
• Ensure compliance with the Safety Program, OSHA, and provide for safe working environments for

PREFERRED EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

• Five years experience of warehouse
• Prior experience with shipping, receiving and inventory
• Prior experience working with production teams in a warehouse environment or manufacturing
• Working knowledge of supply chain in an engineering and / or construction project
• Familiarity with DOT compliance for commercial vehicles and
• Knowledge of the construction industry, OSHA, and relevant safety
• Operating experience in procurement, safety, fleet, and pre-task
• Familiarization with bar-coding and process

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Experience with billing, tooling software, and purchase order

Summary :

Responsible for maximizing production efficiency through effective item placement, warehouse analysis, and maintaining system related logic that affects production work.

What you’ll do :

• Placement of new items in the warehouse into location assignments with logical ti / hi and FIFO criteria.
• Maintain GMP practices, flammability considerations, commodity grouping, and special customer requirements.
• Analyze aisle movements and make necessary adjustments to enhance productivity & capacity.
• Perform maintenance moves as suggested by production workers, as well as those discovered through observation or analysis to reduce damage and improve ergonomics.
• Use item forecast information to assist shipping department with setting up sale / distro staging areas.
• Consistently maintain all location labels.
• Maintain production related system logic and suggest modifications as necessary.
• Balance efficiencies between shipping and receiving to maximize overall capacity & efficiency.
• Serve as liaison between warehouse and procurement to assist with dimensional issues, as well as description related issues.
• Monitor and manage WHS exception reports.
• Manage and communicate physical location repair issues.
• Assist management in quality related research (i.e., lift transactions, selection assignment issues, etc.)
• Create layout / environment that minimizes damage, and shrink, as well as contributing to reduction of both.

• Excellent math, reading, communication (verbal and written) and problem solving / analytical skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to handles multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail, solid judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Microsoft Office platform
• Ability to lift / move up to 70 lbs. solo or greater weights in a team lift.
• Previous Warehouse Management (WMS) experience required.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

o Receiving and shipping inventory

o Placing and fulfilling orders

o Making local deliveries with a company vehicle

o Executing vending replenishment tasks within customer facilities

o Maintaining accurate inventory through cycle counting

o Managing inventory in our warehouse and customer sites

o Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position :

o 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work

o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed

o Proficient written and oral communication skills

Warehouse employees are a vital part of this team by making sure our customers get the right order. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, selecting and loading products within the warehouse.

Requirements :

• High school diploma or GED
• 18 years of age
• 1-2 years of warehouse experience

Responsibilities :

• Receive and process warehouse stock products.
• Select and prepare customer orders in a manner that insures complete fulfillment of each customer order.
• Check all incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy.
• Ensure accurate receipt and documentation are included for inbound product.
• Convey products and materials from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Places items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined slot assignments.
