ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE
- You have 1+ years of serving or related experience in a full service restaurant
- You have a current food handler’s card and alcohol service certification as required by federal / state / local law
- You meet minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages
- You have basic knowledge of food and beverage service / hospitality
- You have excellent guest service skills
- You have a high school diploma or GED
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lift and / or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
- Bending / stooping / kneeling required frequently
- Routine standing for duration of shift
- Maneuvering the following types of equipment or machinery :
- Hand cart, blenders, knives, slices, wine keys and other tools listed in training manual
- Scheduled shifts determined by business needs

Big City Diner was conceptualized and developed by Mr. Lane Muraoka, a local boy from Kailua who attended Iolani School. Mr.
Muraoka originally began in the restaurant industry as a young man working as a dishwasher for a prominent local restaurant chain and eventually opened the first Big City Diner in 1998.
Corporate Executive Chef Dennis Franks joined the team and together have been serving Award winning food and Service for 25 years.

The Server is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by interacting with guests in a friendly and timely manner, using their complete knowledge of food and beverage menus to take orders, answer questions and make suggestions.
Deliver guests' orders and follow up with each guest to ensure all their needs are met. Whether working in an on-trend national brand, or an iconic concept from the local community, you will create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.
