About this role :

In this role, you will :
- Lead or participate in computer security incident response activities for moderately complex events

- Provide security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
- Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
- Review and correlate security logs
- Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity

Required Qualifications, US :

- 2+ years of password vaulting engineering experience

Job Title : Executive Security Officer FLSA : Non-Exempt
General Function
Responsible for performing high-level Armed Security Officer duties to detect, deter, and respond to potential crime and violence at Hy-Vee’s corporate campuses, as well as support the effective protection of company executives, VIPs, employees, executive and sensitive company areas, assets, and reputation within Hy-Vee’s corporate campuses.
Armed Executive Security Officers remain vigilant, react quickly, act with integrity, uphold company policies and procedures, and conduct themselves respectfully and tactfully in all interactions with company employees, visitors, and guests.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Exercise judgement, critical decision-making skills, and armed security officer experience to determine the appropriate level of intervention to potential crime, violence, active threats, or other situations that might pose a risk to the safety and security of Hy-Vee employees, customers, and guests present on Hy-Vee corporate properties.
- Effectively and efficiently manages daily security operations of the armed security post present at executive entrance, restricted executive parking lots, and sensitive executive areas.
- Ensure safe and orderly ingress and egress of executives and other VIPs to / from the corporate offices, ensuring that only authorized employees and approved guests are granted access to the facilities.
- Exercises a level of vigilance and awareness of potential risks to employees, guests, property, or assets and reports and / or mitigates the risk accordingly.
- Monitors and responds to all activations of the electronic security system, fire detection equipment, and emergency distress calls at corporate facilities with a specific emphasis on the appropriate evacuation or shelter-in-place protocols.
- Conduct routine daily, weekly, monthly, and / or annual safety and security equipment inspections and certifications and report such inspections accordingly.
- Vigilantly monitors CCTV security camera systems to maintain awareness of internal and external property boundaries, restricted access points, and sensitive company areas, and respond to issues as they arise, keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.
- Leads the response to security, medical, weather-related, and other critical incidents.
- Meets and maintains a level of competency in emergency medical response protocols, de-escalation tactics, verbal and non-verbal communication strategies, use of force training, armed response training, and executive protection.
- Prepares, proofreads, and submits detailed activity, incident, and situation reports and maintains clear, concise shift and duty logs.
- Participates in scheduled Security Department meetings, training, and continuing education.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with carrying out event security plans for major internal and external corporate events. Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Eight to ten years of military, law enforcement, executive protection, or professional security-related work experience preferred.
Previous experience as an armed security / police officer and the ability to successfully pass annual firearms qualification course and obtain and maintain a professional firearms permit required.
Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check annually. Must be able to obtain CPR and AED certifications.
A valid driver’s license with no restrictions in required.
Physical Requirements
- Visual requirements include : ability to see detail at near and far range with or without correction.
- Must be physically able to perform heavy work : lifting no more than 100 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing no more than 50 pounds.
