We are looking for a Data Security Monitor to join a recycling facility in Tualatin.

The primary function of this role is to keep the facility in compliance with their R2 certification. You will be posted at an entrance point of the facility and will be responsible for ensuring that only authorized individuals (i.

e., employees) are allowed past. You will be responsible for maintaining a daily data security activity log, you will coordinate with the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to facilitate inbound and outbound trucks, and will be assigned with minor electronic sorting tasks.

The Data Security Monitor position is best suited for candidates that are seeking low-impact, low-engagement roles and are ok with less stimulating and relatively repetitive tasks.

Duties :

• Maintaining a daily data security log
• Coordinating with the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to facilitate inbound and outbound trucks
• Minor electronic sorting tasks

Security Analyst

Our client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Security Analyst to join their team and help protect their organization's information systems and networks.

As a Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their IT assets.

This role is a hybrid model in Vancouver, Washington with 2-3 days onsite.

Security Analyst Responsibilities

Perform ongoing monitoring and analysis of security events, logs, and alerts to identify potential security incidents and vulnerabilities.

Conduct security risk assessments and evaluations, providing recommendations to mitigate identified risks.

Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions.

Participate in the development and implementation of security awareness and training programs for employees.

Support the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, endpoint security, and encryption solutions.

Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure secure configurations, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.

Participate in security audits, providing necessary documentation and evidence to support audit findings.

Stay informed of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and emerging technologies to proactively update and improve security measures.

Security Analyst Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Six years of experience in information security, IT, or a related field, preferably in a security analyst role.

Strong knowledge of security principles, technologies, and industry best practices.

Familiarity with various security frameworks and regulatory requirements, such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and HIPAA.

Experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS / IPS, firewalls, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex security issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+, are highly desirable.
