Responsibilities :

Serve as a primary member of the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) who handles security events and incidents daily in a fast-paced environment.

Performs Incident Handling duties which can be minor or major security incidents within the defined Computer Security Incident Response process.

Maintains situational awareness for cyber threats across multiple clients and take action where necessary.

Note : This position is for our night shift. Nights are a 10-hour shift, 4 Days on and 3 off, hours are 10 : 00 PM to 8 : 00 AM local.

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Countermeasure deployment across various technologies.

Malware and exploit analysis.

Intrusion monitoring and response.

Assessing alerts and notifications of event activity from our SIEM platform, and intrusion detection systems by responding accordingly to the threat.

Continuing content development of threat detection and prevention systems.

Data analysis and threat research by maintaining knowledge of security principles and best practices. Must remain abreast of emerging threats and trends.

Assists teams in various security and privacy risk mitigation efforts, including incident response.

Leads or participates in information security related projects or in managing strategy.

Develop new forensic detective and investigative capabilities using current technical solutions.

Desired Responsibilities and Skills :

B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related degree and a minimum of one (1) year experience in cyber security or incident response.

Hands on experience with using security monitoring tools, running vulnerability scans, and reviewing assessment reports.

Systems administrator experience in Linux, Unix, Windows or OSX operating systems is desirable.

Knowledge of networking and the common network protocols.

Demonstrated ability to create scripts, develop tools, or automate processes in PowerShell, Python or Bash.

Knowledge of vulnerabilities and a comfort in manipulating exploit code for analysis.

Demonstrated ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis.

Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and identify anomalies.

SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to maintain a safe and secure environment for the entire facility, youths, staff and visitors.

Security presence is required seven days a week / three shifts per day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following :

  • Manage access to the Integrated Care Center (ICC) by controlling the front entrance and by monitoring the other entrances via surveillance cameras.
  • Manage the safety of all the floors, and outside perimeter, of the ICC by reviewing surveillance video and physical patrol.
  • Security is expected to walk the parameters of the facility in random intervals.
  • Check staff and visitor identification prior to entrance to the facility.
  • Ensure all visitors sign in and out on the appropriate log and provide them with a visitor’s badge while in the facility.
  • Obtain copy of identifying information (driver’s license, Employee I.D. card, etc.) of all youth visitors and maintain record.

Ensure such identifying information correlates with the Sign-In Log.

  • Escort visitors to the appropriate floor and / or escort to the appropriate staff.
  • Prevent any unauthorized access to the facility.
  • Monitor staff safety and risk when exiting the facility.
  • Take the lead in the facilitation of youth self-searches when entering the facility (i.e. admissions, returning from pass, appointments, elopement, etc.) with milieu staff.
  • Utilize metal detecting wands to conduct searches on youths or visitors when there is a potential risk.
  • If a youth elopes from the facility, Security is expected to follow them to keep them safe until assistance from ICC milieu staff arrive.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of program staff in regard to youth, staff or facility safety needs.
  • Acts as a liaison between milieu staff and the Chicago Police Department.
  • Complete all required documentation / logs as designated by the Supervisor and program administration.
  • Follow all program objectives, systems and directives as indicated by supervisors.
  • Adhere to all Agency and Division policies and procedures, including Agency Conceal Carry Weapons policy and Division Elopement policy.
  • Report to all scheduled work sites on time and fully prepared to engage in all job responsibilities.
  • Willing to work varying hours based on the need of the program. Hours may include evenings and weekends.
  • Fully and professionally respond to and implement all directives and advice offered by all supervisory and training personnel as well as professionally offered feedback from coworkers.
  • Attend and participate in program and agency meetings and trainings as designated by program management.
  • Complete all Core Curriculum (MedTrainer) training(s) required for this position including the clinical model / behavior management program and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), as designated by management.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
