Position Description
Implement, test, and support all information security technologies, processes, and procedures. Conduct, as required, incident response and investigations.
Assist and collaborate with project / application teams as needed to provide consultative and design services. Perform on-call duties as required.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs daily information security activities, included but not limited to system monitoring, log reviews, ticket handling, and policy reviews.
- Performs information security projects as directed by coordinator.
- Designs system upgrades or expansions to support hospital growth and resolve issues. Works with appropriate vendors to obtain quotes.
Presents design options and recommendations to IS management.
Researches and resolves problems and questions regarding information security specific devices as well as other hardware and software used in the Northside network.
Works with vendor technical support personnel to resolve production or testing issues
- Provides support to Information Systems or external personnel to resolve issues caused by information security infrastructure or systems including, but not limited to, redirecting users attempting actions that violate Northside policies.
- Assists in development of security and operational procedures and processes to conform to proper change management techniques.
Modifies and implements new methods as appropriate.
- Maintains current inventory records of security infrastructure equipment and connectivity documentation. Maintains business continuity / disaster recovery equipment and procedures ready to deploy.
- Produces daily and monthly reports for departmental and related functions, routinely tests systems, and provides organized documentation.
Maintains downtime log to document security infrastructure outages.
- Ensures security policies and procedures are followed by all network users. Notify supervisor or other IS management of suspected risks or actual violations.
- Provides on-call support of technical infrastructure and devices as required.
- Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee / patient / visitor injury accident to Manager.
Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES / LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
- Associate’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Business, or related technical field. Three (3) years of information security experience (in addition to the requirement below) can substitute for the degree requirement.
- Two (2) years of experience in environment utilizing an assortment of relevant security technologies including, but not limited do, DLP, IPS, firewall, SIEM, etc.
Internship / work study / or other programs can substitute for this requirement.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Thorough knowledge of information security procedures, hardware, software, and other best practices
- Working knowledge of network server hardware, operating systems, and enterprise solutions such as e-mail, software distribution, anti-virus, backup solutions, remote access
- Working knowledge of endpoint hardware and software.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES / LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
- Technical certifications; including Security+, CISSP, HCISPP, GIAC Security Essentials certifications
- Project lead or coordination experience
- Excellent analytical and technical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Expert knowledge of security technologies

Security Compliance Analyst - Vendor Security
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Vendor Security Analyst to Conduct detailed vendor risk assessments, working closely with key external and internal partners, to identify and evaluate risks before establishing or continuing operations with third-party vendors.
You Will
- Ensure vendor due diligence is conducted for all New and renewing Vendors
- Annual reassessment for all Critical Risk Vendors
- Participate in regulatory, risk and audits issues
- Engage with business process owners, members of Procurement, Finance, Legal and Security Operations teams to review contracts / service agreements adding necessary Vendor Security Addendum and Data Processing requirements
- Coordinate the communication between vendors and Flexport business owners
