Responsibilities
Answer dealership group phones, greet and receive prospects and customers
Direct customers to the correct department, notify the appropriate person that a customer is waiting, and introduce the customer to the salesperson
Work cooperatively with the sales and other internal teams
Communicate with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner
Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
Assist in scheduling and confirming sales appointments
Other duties as assigned

Excellent listening / communication skills, outgoing and positive personality
Punctual nature and ability to handle schedule flexibility and dynamic work environment
Professional appearance and eager to improve on all aspects
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Day in a Life :
The Medical Receptionist is responsible for providing staff support and performing the business activities for the University Health Center Clinic.
How You Will Contribute :
Collect and record patient charges for clinic and pharmacy. Reconcile cash box and prepare receipts for deposit. Investigate minor errors on cash transaction and resolve problems.
Prepare receipts and deposit forms according to Health Center procedures.
- Greet patients and visitors (in person or by phone); route calls; make routine appointments.
- Disseminate general business information to students, faculty, staff, and the general public about the Health Center clinic and pharmacy.
- Data entry into Electronic Medical Records system (i.e. update personal, insurance and financial information in patient’s accounts, scan patient paperwork and medical records from other providers).
- Prepare various work orders and manage service calls and repairs. Send, receive, and distribute mail and correspondence.
- Monitor, organize, and create orders for office and clinic supply inventory and over the counter medications. Receive, verify, and log receipt of goods within Health Center Electronic Medical Records system.
- Assist Directors with scheduling meetings, processing correspondence, and managing phone calls and faxes.
- Assist RNs / providers by notifying them of patient’s arrival, supplying paperwork needed for specific appointment, and maintaining supply of medical forms, release of information forms and educational handouts.
- Serve on committees as requested. Participate as a member of the University Health Center / Division of Student Engagement and Success Team.
Participate in departmental and division staff meetings.
- Promote excellent customer service and teamwork within department and division.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years of related experience in general office, bookkeeping, or personnel operations.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in a medical office or acute care setting.
- Experience working in a university student health center.

Texas Eye Care Network , a Covenant Physician Partner, is looking for a Fulltime Bilingual Medical Receptionist to join our busy and welcoming office.
About the Opportunity
This position handles and routes all incoming calls, and greets patients and patient families.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities :
- Performs day-to-day general office duties including but not limited to word processing, copying, filing, faxing, answering phones and data entry.
- Scheduling appointments, carefully screens patients for new address and update registration and informs patient of adequate information that must be presented at time of visit.
- Verifies patient benefit eligibility and coverage and document in EHR system.
- Obtains authorization / referral for office visits / procedures.
- Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote team awareness.
- Performs telephonic support for online authorization of office visits and procedures.
- Provides direct support to Primary Care practices and specialty care providers regarding utilization, authorization, and referral activities.
- Ensure complete and accurate data, including patient demographic, current insurance information and update patient benefit information.
- Establish contact with the ordering physician’s office or customer service department to resolve issues concerning missing vital information from patient’s medical record.
- Knowledge of Insurance carriers and contracted providers.
- Work cordially in a team with the surgery center, physician practice and with patients to explain coverage amounts provided by their insurance policy, so they can understand why some procedures may be covered, while others are not.
- Request pre-certification and benefits on all patients, both inpatients and outpatients for surgery.
- Communicates with the Clinic regarding upcoming appointments.

About the Candidate
- High school education or equivalent required.
- 1+ year of experience as a medical receptionist
- Organized, detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent typing and computer usage skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
- Ability to relate with people of diverse backgrounds, provide excellent customer service and solutions to problems.
- Knowledge of medical insurance terminology, medical benefits, and billing process.
- Experience with online benefit verification, working with insurance companies, and have extensive knowledge of different types of coverage and policies.
- Maintain accurate patient insurance records.
- Good judgement and must have excellent multitasking skills.
- Resourcefulness in problem solving.
- Ability to work independently, give attention to detail, prioritize and perform several tasks together without losing concentration.

The Receptionist 1 receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors so that all callers / visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately.
The Receptionist 1 performs basic administrative / clerical / operational / customer support / computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.
The Receptionist 1 operates a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintains long distance call logs. Takes and distributes accurate messages.
Greets visitors and determines the nature of their visit, issues visitor passes and maintains visitor logs, alerts appropriate party of visitor arrival or directs visitors to appropriate office, department or employee.
Responds to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as the organization's location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and / or email address.
Additional responsibilities may include miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, receiving and sending courier packages.
Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and / or within established policies / practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.
