This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid work model which includes remote work and 3-5 days in office per week.

Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to advocate enterprise and state specific legislative and regulatory positions in less complex legislative and / or regulatory environments.
How You Will Make an Impact :
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to :
- Develops and implements strategies to advocate enterprise and state specific legislative and regulatory positions to support business goals and objectives.
- Represents the enterprise and its specific businesses in advocacy efforts.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with legislators, regulators, other policymakers, and their staff.
- Develops strategies for utilizing PAC and / or corporate political contributions.
- Maintains coalitions and target grassroots capabilities.

Minimum Requirements :
Requires a BA / BS in a related field; 8 years of legislative, regulatory, political, public affairs or industry experience;
or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience :
- Direct experience working in the Commonwealth or local government, public affairs, campaigns, or other direct lobbying experience in this market is strongly preferred.
- Healthcare or insurance related experience including experience in behavioral health or related fields a plus.

Job Summary
The Employee Relations Advisor shall be responsible for :
Responsible for conducting and overseeing harassment and discrimination investigations, non-labor grievances, and other investigations into allegations of misconduct or violations of policy.
Develops investigation plan, gathers relevant facts, interviews case critical witnesses, documents investigation and recommends course of action to leadership, assisting with the implementation of corrective actions and / or disciplinary procedures as appropriate.
- Partners with the Lead ER Advisor on employee related matters or hospital initiatives in support of the Human Resources Client Service Delivery Core.
- Reviews corrective action and discipline. Documents and maintains the facts pertaining to relevant activities and decisions.
Works with General Counsel to prepare for the Hospital’s defense with regard to discrimination or other lawsuits.
Advises management and staff on policy interpretation, and ensures consistent application and enforcement of Hospital policies.
Participates in policy recommendations to senior management, participates in policy work groups, and drafts and edits HR policies to changes in the work environment or legal landscape
- Participates in discussions with Management and / or HRBPs on employee issues and conflict resolution and recommends solutions.
- Serves on or chairs departmental or hospital-wide committees or project teams as needed.
- Ensures personnel policies are equitable and effective. Reviews current policies and procedures and recommends changes, as necessary.
- Maintains collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the working groups’ achievement goals.

- A Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, counseling or a related area and five or more years of experience in employee relations or related.

Support the RFP team and Consultant team as needed to gather accurate, timely and quality information from the Business and review draft(s) to ensure the RFP / questionnaire is customized to prospects' needs.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Bachelor’s degree required - in Finance, Business or related field preferred.

FINRA Series 7, 63, and 6 required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
