The opportunity :
Project Manager is responsible for handling the file prep review and coordination of the new item process, from submission of project to press date;
communicating with prepress, customers, sales, customer service, accounting and production to ensure production success and full customer satisfaction.

- Accurately communicate all nuances and details to prepress and inform the print facilities of those decisions (developing and providing tools for quick & accurate communication of information)
- Work directly with Prepress, Customer Service, Customers. Converting plants, and print production to maintain order and follow processes
- Assist / help prioritize the demands of the customer with the abilities of the production sites for focused results
- Constantly evaluate results for continuous improvement and employ these findings into the workflows
- Be innovative and creative with process improvements
- Awareness for continuous education in the areas of new technology, new processes and personal growth
- Administrative tasks New Item Outline forms, project status spreadsheet, weekly new items meetings, PO logs and billing
- Assist anywhere needed
What you need to succeed :
- High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent
- Knowledge of flexo printing and their specifications and how to apply those specs to art files
- Experience & knowledge in corrugated packaging and other department operations
- Strong written & oral communication skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to resolve conflicts.
- Excellent Project Management and Time Management skills - ability to be proactive and acknowledge priority
- Adobe Illustrator (along with other Creative Suite applications), Microsoft Office, and Mac Experience Required.
- Ability to use various MAC software applications to create web layouts and open & review art files
- Work as a Team member within Graphics Solutions.

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration. Equivalent experience in a construction-related position will also be considered.
- Must be willing to travel and relocate. Project sites are located domestically and internationally, so relocation and / or travel are required.
- 10yrs of heavy civil construction experience.
- Experience supervising multiple project engineers.
- Heavy Civil Construction background / experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Safety oriented, 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA certificates are preferred.
- Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Ability to function as a team-builder / player.
- The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing and directing the project team by providing the communication, coordination and follow-up necessary to meet the project goals and objectives.
- Maintains ongoing training and mentoring of project team.
- Directly responsible to senior management.
- Provides ongoing project information and project reviews as required by management.
- Coordinates training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
- Ensures scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood by senior management and all project participants, including client.
- Determines, controls, and maintains overall project and discipline schedules and budgets.
- Tracks schedule and budget progress with project milestones and takes all action necessary to keep project on track.
- Identifies and secures necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and / or schedule.
- Maintains ongoing communication with client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client's needs within contractual obligations, or adjusting project deliverables to meet the client and Barnard's needs.
Project Manager
Landscape construction company looking for a project manager to join our large Landscape Construction Division. The position duties and responsibilities include the following : verify all contractual terms and obligations are being met and maintained, prepare and attend project kick off meetings, daily planning and scheduling activities, analyze, monitor project performance data, coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, review and furnish submittals and approvals, communicate possible delays or problems to appropriate parties, review and submit engineering plans to municipalities, permitting and inspections duties, and collaborate with sales and purchasing teams.
The position is ultimately responsible for bringing a project in on time, within budget, and with a quality finished product.
Schedule Monday through Friday, Saturdays (as necessary). Typical work week 55-60 hrs.
Required Skills and Experience
