Fox Weather is looking for a Production Assistant for the New York Bureau. The perfect candidate has great communication skills, loves to learn, and is an A+ team player.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing. You will pitch stories, compile research, coordinate video and graphic elements, and provide support to other show team members and on-air meteorologists as requested.

You will contribute to our social media strategy and be involved in efforts to source the best user-generated content for our coverage.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Pitch stories on a daily basis, with topics ranging from the most important breaking weather news to features on weather-related stories of interest

Provide support to the production team as they build segments, manage breaking news, and work on long-term projects

Find the best sound bites, video and graphics for the most informative and compelling segments

Write banners, cut video, and on the rare occasion, book guests all while quickly responding to breaking weather news

Quickly identify strong user-generated content from multiple sources, ensuring the best elements are incorporated into FOX Weather coverage

Work in coordination with studio, field crews, and guests as needed

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Prior internship or job experience in a related field

Must have a passion for weather

Willing and able to work under tight deadlines while juggling several tasks at once

Social media savviness

Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members

Weather experience preferred

The merchandise production team provides production and purchasing for merchandise for US concert tours, eCommerce and outside retailers as well as corporate and label promotions.

Merchandise includes a variety of branded apparel and accessories.

Your role :

Assist Merch Production department in day to day tasks to keep operation on task, on time and organized. This is an opportunity to learn the merch production process from concept to delivery.

This is a fast paced, high volume position that requires tenured tour and d2c production experience for quick turn apparel and accessories.

Partner w / internal stakeholders to determine time lines, work flow and support long range company goals. Clear and constant communication is key in this role.

Daily duties include project management, sourcing, vendor choice, creating PO’s, dispersing art files, tracking orders, shipping logistics and managing production schedule.

Train, mentor and manage direct reports. Understanding and implementing tour and eCom requirements. Established vendor relationships and sourcing new vendors are critical for competitive pricing, quick turn times, quality control and on time deliveries.

Multi-tasking, resourcefulness and problem solving skills are a must along w / strong leadership skills. Above all, team focused at all times to insure a supportive and cohesive working environment for all.
