Position Summary :
Athens Hair is looking for a Physician Assistant to perform FUE hair transplant procedures as our primary provider and to lead a clinical staff of technicians.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform all aspects of a hair transplant procedure including administering local anesthetic and use of hair transplant hand tools including motorized punches, forceps, and scalpels.
We intend to use the latest technology and seek a candidate who can learn and utilize this technology. The PA will work under the medical direction of Athens Hair physicians.

- Autonomy and independence in performing hair transplant procedures
Your responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to :
- Plan and perform all hair transplant procedures
- Lead an excellent patient experience from top to bottom
- Direct and manage clinical staff of technicians in their support of the procedure and clinic duties
- Ensure proper training and protocols are followed
- Perform follow up appointments with patients
- Work closely with the clinic manager to achieve overall success
- Administer prescribed medication for patients
- Administer and manage local anesthesia and other medications
- Attain exceptional hair transplant results for our clients
- Operate and learn new technology
- Status : Full-Time
Location : Omaha, NE
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet all of the following requirements :
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing PA. Previous experience in hair transplant procedures is not required
- Current applicable unencumbered Physician Assistant license
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Unrestricted DEA license
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Possess phenomenal customer service skills and a passion for providing excellent patient care
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Exceptional fine motor skills and dexterity with tedious procedures
- Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently
- EMR experience (preferred)

Physician Assistant Acute- Orthopedics
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for providing safe, comprehensive and compassionate clinical care
- Assesses patient, synthesizes and analyzes data, orders diagnostic tests and therapeutic treatments, and evaluates clinical outcomes
- Seeks and integrates the perspectives of interprofessional team members in developing and implementing the plan of care
- Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; prescribes medications and complex medical regimes while monitoring for desired and adverse outcomes, specific to the infant / child with high risk, complex acute, critical, or chronic conditions
- Applies evidence based medicine pertinent to neonatal / pediatric populations
- Continuously evaluates the relationships among access, cost, quality, safety and their influence on healthcare outcomes and sustainability
- Assumes leadership role to establish and monitor standards of practice and to improve patient care through sharing knowledge, leading teams and developing programs
- Constant consideration of childs development, familys readiness and resources when translating health information, education and support

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Satisfy all relevant criteria and qualifications outlined in the Medical Staff Policy on Allied Health Professional, required to be credentialed
- Maintains practice agreement with service of specialty, and practices within framework of respective scope of practice
- Must be knowledgeable in billing regulation practices to include documentation requirements / CPT coding regulations
- Knowledge of physical, mental, developmental, emotional and social needs of the neonate, infant, toddler, pre-school, school age and adolescent patients
- Maintains current knowledge and skill level in field through reading appropriate journals, networking, and attendance at conferences or seminars
- Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, without loss of efficiency or composure, and be able to perform under stressful conditions when confronted with multiple requests, demonstrating prioritizing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple disciplines
- Ability to be self-directed, with minimum supervision, and detail oriented
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Masters degree from an accredited college or university in the Physician Assistants program required
- Previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in pediatrics / neonatal preferred
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS :
- Current and valid unrestricted Nebraska state licensure (e.g., APRN, PA, RN,) required
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association is required
- Current and valid Pediatric Advanced Life support (PALS) required, within 6 months of hire
- Maintain active Federal DEA license required. Must obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Current and valid nationally recognized APP board certification required
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
