Physician Assistant
Provides medical treatment to OFP patients.
Charts all patient interactionsin accordance with company policies and procedures.
Work closely with Medical Assistants to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Communicate and works with medical staff to ensure coordinated efforts for the provision of high-quality medical treatment and client services.
Complieswith ethical, legal & professional guidelines.

Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills
EDUCATION
Degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from a U.S. accredited institution or equivalent licensingrequired to complyto practice medicine in the U.
S. in the instance of foreign graduate training.
EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in General Practice preferred. EMR experience,Bilingual , Computer Literate.

Responsibilities
Outpatient Clinic : Evaluates existing patients with malignant hematology conditions with some non malignant hematology coverage, in collaboration with staff physicians, as well as a multidisciplinary team.
This includes, but is not limited to, chemotherapy clearances, acute visits, surveillance visits, etc.
- Weekend Call / Night call : act as first line for incoming calls from patients and hospital after hours for both hematology and medical oncology patients.
- Hours : Monday Friday 8am to 5pm with rotational night / weekend call coverage
- DEA required. Must have at least applied for this prior to start date

This position is located at Naval Station Mayport, FL.
The new century finds Naval Station Mayport thriving with activity and well positioned to serve as a vehicle for mission readiness.
While the face of the base is familiar to many who have watched it grow for years, the infrastructure has evolved with, and anticipated, developments in technology, service, and family needs.
In 1959 the Main Gate to the base was moved to accommodate a growing base and improve security; in 2000 it was moved again for the same reasons.
- The golf course on base was opened in 1960 and underwent rehabilitation in 2000. In 1956, USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVA 42) was home ported in Mayport;
- in 2000 USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) brought the Roosevelt family name back to Mayport. In 1965, the Carrier Pier Snack Bar was opened;
in March 2000, a new Single Sailor Center opened for the Mayport population of single Sailors. Named Planet Mayport, it provides a computer / net surfing room, computer game area, large screen TV room, movie theater, laundromat, ATM, library, and many other amenities.

Responsibilities
As a Physician Assistant (Family Practice) you will perform duties such as :
- Provide consultation, teach, and coordinate with patients and their family members of treatment and medical care.
- Examine patients and perform initial patient work-up and assessment of patients' care and treatment.
- Determine the need for and orders laboratory tests, X-rays and other procedures necessary to complete assessment of the patient.
- Prescribe for and treat a variety of diseases, disorders, and injuries.
- Provide a full range of emergency services or crises interventions in the absence of the physician.
Qualifications
US Citizenship Required
At least one year of experience as a certified physician assistant treating patients in a Family Practice setting.
Graduation from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARCPA), or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the Secretary, U.
S. Department of Education.
Successful completion of the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination; must maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for continuing medical education (CME) and re-certification.
All Applicants must be licensed as a Physician Assistant by the recognized licensing agency of a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
