A few details about the role :

  • Help resident to maintain good personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, or grooming).
  • Check vital signs. Performs bowel and bladder management assistance.
  • Assist in maintaining a healthful, safe environment.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals. Market when instructed to do so by the nurse.
  • Assist the resident with ambulation or exercise.
  • Aid with medication management as directed by registered nurse or assigned by a licensed practical nurse.
  • Assist the therapy personnel as needed with rehabilitative processes.
  • Carry out assignment per home health care plan as instructed by the registered nurse or the paramedical team and report to the registered nurse when unable to perform as requested.

And here’s what you need to apply :

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of one year of experience
  • Certifications and licensure required by state regulations.
  • Completion of a basic aide training program consistent with state and federal requirements and for which a certificate was obtained.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license and a good driving record.

REQUIREMENTS!

  • Preferred 6 months to 1 year of experience but NOT required

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual service plan.
  • Allows and encourages residents to do as much of their own care as possible.
  • Serves meals to residents in the dining room or apartments and may assist in preparing meals following preplanned menus.
  • Encourages residents to eat a proper diet and take adequate fluids while respecting the resident’s right to free choice and records and reports changes in resident’s eating habits to the supervisor.
  • Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for residents as described in the activity calendar and encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities or programs to develop friendships with other residents.
  • Maintains residents’ records daily in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedures; documents medication distribution as applicable, leisure activities, incidents, and observations;
  • reports any changes in resident’s physical condition and / or behavior, and visitors; observes and reports the health and emotional condition of each resident;

and promptly reports all changes to the supervisor.

  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the residents; performs general housekeeping; and follows cleaning schedules for resident laundry, bedrooms, dining area, living space, bathrooms, kitchen, and other areas.
  • Follows proper procedures in emergency situations and responds promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance.

  • Draft correspondence
  • Assist with preparation of demand
  • Process and distribute all incoming and outgoing checks for clients
  • Effectively communicate with the clients while demonstrating empathy and understanding of their case
  • Efficiently and effectively complete all assignments, tasks, and client calls
  • Recognize and communicate escalated or urgent matters to the appropriate person in a timely manner
  • Schedule client visits when needed

Success Factors / Qualifications :

  • 2 years experience in personal injury law required
  • Paralegal / Legal Assistant experience is highly preferred

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Efficient with time management and deadline conscious
