About the role
As a Stock Associate, you play an essential role in the customer service experience by maximizing product inventory levels.
By processing freight and stocking shelves, you ensure that the store is organized and clean. While both part-time and full-time positions generally maintain floor merchandise and inventory standards, you may also be assigned as a cashier or sales assistant.
You will report to the store management team.

You will
- Provide customer service by greeting and establishing a relationship with customers while informing them of our products and services.
- Maintain aisles by following established sorting and stocking guidelines
- Complete freight process while ensuring sorting area is safe and organized including unloading of truck trailers, loading of merchandise onto carts;
distributing inventory to correct locations; pulling and stocking merchandise from back room and overheads; resolve inventory discrepancies
- Open and stack cases and merchandise; break down boxes and bale cardboard
- Ensure signage is correctly placed; build displays and end caps; clean and maintain merchandise
- Become familiar with and share Total Wine & More’s product portfolio
- Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, kitchen, bathroom, etc.
What we're looking for
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, which may also depend on your preference for part-time or full-time hours
- Experience using technology applicable to the position and access information necessary to complete daily responsibilities
- 1-year retail sales associate, merchandiser, or inventory specialist experience preferred, to include greeting customers, stocking, merchandising, managing inventory, or replenishment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude
- Value collaboration and acting as a team player
- Desire to develop knowledge of product and services
Physical Requirements (with or without accommodations)
- Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day
- Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly

We are looking for merchandisers to service the American Greetings Department in retail locations.
- The starting pay is $13.50 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment (the listed rates are subject to change based on work location).
- After 6 months of employment the pay rate will increase to $14.30
- After 1 year of continued employment the pay rate will increase to $15.00.

This route will service the following retail locations : Walmart, 3041 N Rainbow BLVD, Las Vegas, NV. Target, 3210 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV.
The weekly average hours are 3 hours per week. The weekly hours may increase to an average of 5 hours per week around holidays.
Additional support may be needed in the territory with required availability multiple days in succession and increased hours per day if applicable to business and project based assignments.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Merchandise and maintain all product displays within the greeting card department as well as other areas of the store as needed.
- Work in a fast-paced retail environment utilizing your effective time management skills.
- Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime retail business hours.
- Use a company provided tablet to perform basic job functions, such as reviewing weekly service and tasks, inventory functions, time entry, etc.

What to expect when you work here
As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing the store's backroom operations by receiving products into the POS system, keeping products organized and accounted for, and helping process weekly pallets.
You would also be in charge of processing damaged or defective products back to the Fulfillment Center, and reporting these items to the Inventory Control Team.
Additionally, you would work closely with the management team to ensure that an adequate level of product is in stock for customer purchase, that the merchandise is properly maintained, and that the merchandise is displayed appropriately with proper signage and favorable shelf placement.

Qualifications
Our next Merchandiser has :
Previous retail, inventory management, customer service or sales experience; 2+ years preferred
Ability to work assigned schedule - Monday through Friday - in addition to occasional nights / evenings
Strong computer acumen, writing, and math ability to count and manage inventory and control cash
A self-starter mentality with a strong attention to detail
An open mind, and is eager to learn and be a part of the riding community
Experience with computers and POS systems (particularly RetailPro)

Merchandiser
