As a Medical Scribe , you would help create a more efficient office by capturing all patient clinical information and accurately document it in the electronic medical record.

By efficiently and effectively doing so, you will help improve clinical outcomes and reduce patient wait times. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

This position is Full-Time and flexible to work in Brighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay, Bensonhurst and Flatbush clinic locations.

Must be available to work Saturday as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :

  • Assist in the smooth operation of a Healthcare practice and accompany the physician into the patient examination room in order to transcribe / translate a history and physical exam, and accurately document the physician’s encounter with the patient and others present.
  • List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
  • Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
  • Document any procedures performed by the physician.

Summary :

  • Draw blood and collect other specimens as directed by providers, ensuring proper processing and handling
  • Conduct routine tests in areas such as serology, hematology, chemistry, histology, and cytology using standard techniques and equipment.

Collect specimens for outside labs (e.g., Pap smears, cultures, etc.)

  • Prepare examination rooms, set up necessary equipment, and assist / chaperone during patient examinations and treatments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical area, including stocking supplies and proper disposal of outdated materials Adhere to sterilization and cleaning guidelines for equipment
  • Perform basic clerical work in the service area, including answering phones, communicating concerns to nurses, and handling inquiries
  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate logs and accurate records for laboratory tests

Qualifications :
