What you will do in this role :
- You will prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
- You will prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
- You will give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
- You will assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
- You will answer telephone calls to the practice and screens for referral
What Qualifications you will need :
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting OR current Medical Assistant certification
- Candidates with one year of Medical work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Certification within one year of hire date
- Medical Assistants who recently graduated from a Medical Assisting training program will obtain a clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment
- Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification / ABR-OE credentials is highly preferred

Job Summary
A Medical Technologist is a highly skilled health professional who tests and analyzes blood, other body fluids, and tissue samples.
Medical Technologists are responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment used to analyze specimens and ensuring that tests are completed in a correct and timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in medical technology / clinical laboratory science or related science required OR Bachelor degree & certification is subspecialty area OR Grandfathered as medical technologist by CLIA 88
- Certification as MT ( ASCP ) / CLS(NCA) or as appropriate, subspecialty certification such as BB(ASCP), C(ASCP), M(ASCP), etc. required.
- New graduates will be given a one-year grace period from their graduation date to achieve proper ASCP / CLS certification.
A new graduate will be required to sign a letter agreement stipulating this requirement.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high degree of accuracy; detail oriented, verbal communication
- Basic laboratory equipment and instrumentation, keyboarding
- This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and / or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
