Responsibilities

  • Our Medical Assistants greet our patients, obtain their medical histories and verify patient information
  • Prepares patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing all required testing
  • Provide assistance during examinations and treatment
  • Perform ancillary testing and tasks as directed by the Center Medical Director (including but not limited to PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws, etc.) and as certified
  • Performs DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
  • In addition to working as a Medical Assistant, you will be cross trained to perform Front Office duties including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, check in / out, communication of wait times, etc.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, training as a medical assistant, or military medical specialist with current credentials in the state of employment
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, clinical office environment
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) preferred but not required

Marathon Health is seeking a Float Medical Assistant (MA) who has knowledge and experience in primary care and preventative services to treat and work with employees and families (ages 2+) at their near-site corporate health and wellness center in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Job Summary

  • Takes and records patients' blood pressure, temperature, pulse, height, weight and vision test and report abnormal patient conditions to the physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, nurse or physical therapist.
  • Responds to patient symptoms and complaints with first aid or consultation with nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physical therapist.

Job Summary

Medical Assistants work under the direct authority of a physician in an outpatient setting. The supervising / delegating physician is responsible for medical assistants in performing tasks delegated by the physician.
