We are hiring a Sr. Business Analyst (60% Technical / 40% Functional) - Oracle EBS Suite (Manufacturing and Distribution modules) to our team.

This is a hybrid position for candidates based near eastern Iowa or willing to relocate. Some amount of on-site, in-person work is required.

The Sr. Business Analyst will develop the technical architecture and implementation strategy for specific applications that aligns with HNI IT’s Enterprise Architecture standards, Application Management’s technical standards, and our application strategy.

This candidate will work with business users to analyze business needs, identify, and prioritize requirements, and propose application and technical designs with associated costs and timelines.

In addition to translating business requirements into system changes, the candidate must be comfortable engaging on hands-on development and also work with Offshore development team to deliver the technical objects.

What you'll do :

  • Analyze business needs, define detailed requirements based on desired business outcomes, develop proposed solutions, and recommend potential alternatives, taking into account business and technical considerations.
  • Ensure holistic solution design, making sure that cross-functional considerations are incorporated into functional and technical design specifications that are supported by Oracle Application framework.
  • Ensure that the Solution Design aligns with our Enterprise Architecture standards and technical application management standards and Oracle Application technology, and shepherd projects through the approval process.
  • Review functional and technical specifications and validate design / development specifications with technical development teams using EDI technology, Oracle Service Oriented Architecture and different Application modules, Oracle Workflow Technology, SQL, PL / SQL, Oracle RDBMS Principles, Java, Javascript, OAF technology, RF Barcode scanning devices / applications for Windows, UNIX, Linux platforms.
  • Identify and coordinate with stakeholder technical teams to ensure the delivery of a holistic solution design.
  • Create and communicate solution overviews and alternatives to technical and business leadership to promote understanding of solution direction and to gain consensus support of the recommended solution approach using Standard Oracle Application functionalities using Oracle AIMS methodology & Technologies and different Oracle Modules.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with application strategies and identify opportunities, challenges, and migration roadmaps.
  • Educate stakeholders of Oracle application architecture risks to influence change that supports business and IT strategies to align with Oracle and Microsoft Technologies.
  • Collaborate to develop and present business cases for IT investment strategy needed to support application architecture roadmap that aligns with Oracle Application implementation strategy.

What you have :

  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent disciplines
  • At least 8+ years of experience; with at least 5 years in architecture or solution design using Oracle E-business Application technology.

Relevant Modules : Manufacturing modules (WIP,BOM,COSTING), Warehouse Management , Inventory required . Order Management (OM), Shipping Execution, Purchasing modules are optional.

Hands-on and in-depth experience in Oracle EBS R12 technology stack that includes AOL, Sys admin (from developer standpoint), Concurrent Processing, Workflow 2.

6 , Oracle forms 10g, Oracle reports 10g, XML Publisher 5.7 or higher.

  • Experience in Oracle 11gr2 PLSQL, SQL Plus, Performance optimization techniques such as SQL Tuning, Interpreting trace files, TKPROF or other similar tools.
  • Multiple end-to-end implementations of Manufacturing, Warehousing systems is preferred
  • Experience in implementing Configure To Order (CTO) using Oracle ERP R12+ is preferred
  • Familiarity with information systems management practices (e.g., ITIL, CMMI, SDLC, etc.)
  • Experience with multiple and diverse technology environments and software solutions such as Oracle AIMS methodology, EDI technology, Oracle Application Framework Technology, Oracle SQL, PL / SQL and SQL, Barcode Scanning devices / technology.
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) technologies and methods preferred.
