We are hiring for a Maintenance Technician in Hyde Park, Chicago! The pay range for this role is $20-$23 / hour.

We are looking for a Maintenance Tech to join our team. As a Tech you will make a unique and valuable contribution to our community by ensuring that our building appliances and infrastructure are functioning at peak of efficiency.

Monday through Friday : 8 : 00AM - 4 : 30PM

Alternating On-Call Weekends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Complete assigned service requests and repairs in a timely, professional and courteous manner consistent with company operating and equipment / supply standards.
• Diagnose and perform installation, preventative maintenance and / or repair of residential apartment buildings and units including electrical and plumbing repair, HVAC systems, waste chute and compactor repair, appliances, cabinetry, tile, carpet and flooring, walls (drywall and plaster repair), and security systems (door locks, etc.).
• Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.

repairs or replaces broken parts.

Installs electrical wiring and equipment; wiring during remodeling projects; replaces and repairs wiring as needed. Repairs electrical equipment and control circuits;

replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs refrigeration equipment.

• Perform duties to restore apartments to market ready status, including inspect vacated apartments, complete make-ready checklists, oversee vendor.
• Maintains the overall condition of the building and grounds, including outside custodial duties (e.g. snow removal) as required.

What will serve you well in this role?

• Previous maintenance experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and refurbishing
• Familiarity with various appliances
• Highly approachable personality with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to respond to after-hour emergencies, when on-call duty is assigned

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle required for this position.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Provide own basic tool and knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance tools.

Description :

Respond to breakdowns and failures on the plant floor.

Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment in a thorough and safe manner.

Train production employees as well as other mechanics and be willing to be trained by other mechanics.

• Perform day to day planned and unplanned Aircraft Maintenance on A320 family aircraft. - Perform maintenance in compliance with Company Manuals & Federal Regulations.
• Complete required training and actively maintain training currency as defined in Company Manuals. - Participate actively in the development and improvement of maintenance methods.
• Maintain Line Maintenance related tooling, stands and ground equipment. - Perform all aspects of Line Maintenance. (Troubleshooting, Engine Run & Taxi, etc.

• Hold a current Airframe and Powerplant Certification. - Must possess, maintain, or be able to obtain a valid Passport.
• Valid, unrestricted Driver's License. - Must meet the recent experience requirements in accordance with 14 CFR 65.83. - Willing and able to work any shift.
• Ability to lift up to 85 lbs.; clearly write, read, and speak the English language; Squat, bend and climb regularly; work off of stands and lift trucks.
• Ability to read wire diagrams and disseminate various levels of work instruction related to Line Maintenance and Aircraft Modification.
• Be able to qualify for airport security badge and customs seal. - Ability to travel to remote locations and countries to perform maintenance.
• 2-5 years air carrier commercial aircraft maintenance experience preferred. - A320 Family aircraft experience preferred.

As an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Mechanic 2, you will install, maintain, and repair automated material handling equipment and ensure high equipment availability rates.

u00A0 You will use preventive and predictive maintenance processes, and rapidly troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and quickly restore equipment to service to support the successful operation of the supply chain facility.

u00A0 You will work with other Target mechanics to solve problems, validate quality of work for outside specialty contractors, work with building leaders to optimize material handling equipment, and meet aggressive time lines.

u00A0 You will collaborate with Senior Systems Engineers to perform Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures. A successful candidate in this role will :

• Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) on site, including conveyor systems, sortation, robotics, or Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
• Demonstrate mechanical proficiency for hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and AC / DC electrical motors and drives
• Adjust scanners, cameras, field buses, scales and printer applicators
• Reset, repair, or replace adjustable components (belts, chains, cables) and wearing components (guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys)
• Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment
• Use appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals

• Assist with basic electronics / Programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting
• Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of all types of industrial robots
