The Strecher Transporter, under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Services, shall : provide transportation services for residents in the Center Van, maintain the mileage log(s) and maintenance records of Center vehicles, check oil and other fluid levels, tire pressure, condition of tires, ect.
in / on each vehicle on regular basis, perform all other related duties as assigned by Administrator.
All transfers are typically between the bed and transport stretcher, which is adjustable to various heights to benefit from mechanical advantage.
The company requires the use of transfer board, maxi slide or additional form of lateral transfer device for safety. Company policy is all stretcher transports require at least two persons.
Employee must demonstrate competency in operation of the Striker Power Pro strecher, use of transfer boards, maxi slide.
Qualification :
- Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with others.
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
- Must meet all local health regulations, and pass post-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry.
Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
